Xbox 360 to ps4
Can I transfer my destiny characters from Xbox 360 to the ps4 using the Destiny companion app? Or do I have to buy a Xbox one to transfer them over?

There is no way to transfer from Xbox 360 to PS4. You can only transfer Guardians in the same console family, IE Xbox 360 <-> Xbox One OR PS3 <-> PS4.
