Raise the limit on Glimmer, Vanguard marks & Crucible marks!
With the release of the DLC, now more than ever we need to be able to earn more Vanguard & Crucible marks. Armor is a bit more expensive than before, with chestplates, gauntlets, and boots costing 75 Marks apiece, and helmets still being overpriced at 120 Marks.
Then there's Glimmer; it costs over 7,000 Glimmer to upgrade Exotic gear, and then you need even more Glimmer as well as Exotic Shards to re-purchase all the upgrades once you've re-rolled it with Xur. I'm constantly running low on Glimmer these days, and grinding for Vanguard marks and Crucible marks is now more slower and more painful than ever.
Here's what I propose:
[b]-Increase Weekly Limit for Vanguard Marks to 150.
-Increase Weekly Limit for Crucible Marks to 150.
-Increase maximum limit for Vanguard & Crucible marks from 200 to 300.
-Increase Crucible Marks earned for matches from 2-3 to 5-6.
-Allow Faction vendors (FWC, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy) to accept both Vanguard & Crucible currency.
-Increase Glimmer limit from 25,000 to 50,000.
-Increase storage space in the player's Vault.[/b]

Agreed that they have to do something. What we have now is just artificial lengthening.

I agree that marks should be increased it's what I came here looking for. I play a lot after the kids go to bed (stay at home dad) and I would like to be able to get some more marks / week for my farming. I don't mind earning them, but 100 is kind of low. Like it should not take me two weeks to upgrade something and twiddle my thumbs shortly after the week starts because I am double capped. I also agree & wish that we had more bank space (vault sorry) that we could control. I have OCD, let me move things around within my vault so it's organized.

1 ReplyThey should also let Factions take Vanguard marks. It makes no sense how we can level up Factions by doing Vanguard activities but cant buy their shit with Vanguard marks.

Right now we can only have a maximum of 200 each.

They should also have more things to purchase with glimmer, as I have the opposite problem of the op, I am constantly hitting the cap and just end up spending a few thousand on engram's.

Since there is 2 variants to each factions armor, (FWC for example has the No Tomorrow set and Astrolord set) one could be purchasable with Vanguard Marks, the Other with Crucible Marks. Here's why that works: There is only one PvE vendor. Okay, technically 2, but then there are 6 PvP vendors, counting Iron Banner. If Destiny allowed Dead Orbit, FWC and New Monarcy to accept Vanguard Marks, that would really balance peoples options without excluding anyone.

I especially agree with the faction vendors taking both currency. I don't play much crucible so buying faction stuff is difficult. When I ranked up fwc in the beginning I didn't realize that they only took crucible bucks. Sad realization: (

I agree with all except the venders accepting both marks. Only being able to get 100 marks and 20k glimmer is very restrictive

Crucible vendor should accept only crucible marks. BUT dead orbit, FWC and New Monarchy should definitely accept both marks. Or the Faction vendors accept both, then the Crucible players can keep their unique weapons, PvE players get their Vanguard goods and everyone can share the faction stuff. Do something please Bungie.

The only one I don't agree with, [b][i][u] which does not mean I disagree[/u][/i][/b] is the marks earned from each crucible match. I don't play a lot of crucible and only maxed out my crucible marks this last iron banner, but I did that in 2 days. I just feel that doubling or tripling the marks earned but only increasing the max cap by half would still cause players to reach the max really quickly. 100/2=50 or 100/3=33.3r 150/5=30 or. 150/6=25 That's max marks divided by marks earned per game equals total games needed to earn the max marks.

4 Repliesok but what if they raised the mark limits to around 1000, but made everything 10x more expensive. they keep their precious grinding, but we feel less like we're stagnating with our marks

Your suggestions would be nice, but can't see that many of them would get implemented. By having the caps, Bungie are intentionally making progress more slow. Otherwise people would progress "too quickly" and lose interest. We may get some increases to the glimmer cap and the vault capacity as everybody has been complaining about this.
