Xur Upgrade Bug
I have 2 Thorns, ONE I got pre DLC, one I got after so it had the 2.0 stats.
I go to XUR and try to upgrade and he 'upgrades' the 2.0 ? so Takes glimmer AND shard and does nothing? Apparently he ONLY upgrades what you have equipped ? NOT what you have in inventory but NOT equipped??
Interestingly, I put away my 1.0 version of Thorn, went BACK to XUR - it's greyed out.... put it BACK into my inventory - and it's lit up again. SO - I upgrade AGAIN, and same thing (yes call me stupid but I figured there was a different bug and since it was off and now on again - it would work for the second).
Wrong - So that's 15k and 2 Shards for a gun I already had AND my 1.0 version is still 1.0.
Either put better logic in there or tell people its ONLY the CURRENTLY equipped weapons, and NOT weapons you Currently are holding. Or do NOT bring two of the same type, AND do NOT bring a 2.0 VERSION as he will tell you that its upgradeable and you just lose shard/glimmer but gain nothing.
Please fix this - I'd love a refund too but that's probably outlandish to ask here.

Appreciate "most" of the comments. There is a difference between currently equipped weapons (of which I have 6) AND currently ACTIVE weapons, of which I have 3. I acknowledge it was my mistake - no biggie - but You should NOT be allowed to upgrade an upgraded weapon.... IT shouldn't be possible. It shouldn't light up anymore. I'm just saying that should be fixed. Peace G

It happened to me too. I upgraded 2 guns yesterday without a problem. I go to upgrade my thorn and it does not upgrade! The game took my exotic shard and my glimmer and gave me the old thorn back! I am pissed! Bungie needs to do something about it because I will never use the upgrade again!

1 ReplyIt's not even working for me on [u]equipped[/u] armour.... My 1.0 voidfang chest piece is equipped, it is available from xur, but instead of offering the upgrade for the old armour, exotic shard and glimmer, it is only being offered to buy again for 13 strange coins...
