I love Destiny. It's a wonderful game and I've invested countless hours into it. I've toiled and ground, laughed and cried. Been elated and down right furious and would like to say that I've enjoyed every minute of it - most of which I had. Destiny is truly a great game, but there are problems, and these have come through certain updates and then the wording that you, Bungie, used to describe what's great about your DLC the Dark Below. The levels were good, albeit very, very short and few. This isn't really a problem, I enjoyed them and the introduction to Eris. The problem I have and one that really angered me was this sentence in your weekly update. [quote]New vistas have been explored and reclaimed.[/quote] In particular the words "New Vistas"!! Look, re-walking the same paths we've fought through hundreds of time backwards, to get to two different areas, or more accurately, rooms, does not make them new! The fact that you wrote this actually made me laugh and then started to annoy me. Why would Bungie write this sentence - barely anything about that is new. Re-hashing the same environment does NOT make it new - why are you telling us that it is? Do you really believe us to be that stupid, that we'll walk along the same path but in reverse and marvel at how efficient you've been, how creative you've been?? Honestly, we know these levels better than you! It's frankly insulting. I know people will probably think I'm just having a massive moan, but I'm not - I'm just trying to understand how much Bungie value us, and how stupid they think we are? Okay, I'll leave that question open in the hope I'll get a reply. I think somehow I won't. The next thing I wanted to mention - whilst being the owner of The Dark Below DLC is why are the original game owners being punished by not having the DLC? They can't play the weekly heroic, and today Saturday 13th December, they can't play the daily Heroic either!! What's that about? I think it is totally unfair to loyal fans that have spent £50 on a game, they come home on the weekend and want to play but they can't!! Unless the fork out more for a DLC! That is actually terrible the more you look at it! Totally unfair for a game company that really cares about its players. Second part of this is why is today's Heroic level 30?? Basically forcing out people that have bought the DLC but are only level 26 or 27 or 28!! It's a really bizarre business model you're running. I'm a level 30 hunter and I struggled, I've done the VOG on hard but finding it a bloody hard task to complete the weekly on level 26 - I don't understand it. So basically, I need to grind again and spend weeks (because I can't play 10 hours a day) to get good enough and high enough gear to be able to comfortably or enjoyably play the game I've paid good money for. I'm sure hardcore gamers are enjoying it - but it's such a hard ask for causal gamers that also make up a huge amount of your customer base. I love your game - I love the DLC - but there are some serious downfalls that really fail your gamers, your customers. That's my ten cents - I hope it makes a difference. Cheers
