So basically the community of Destiny gives people who are "noobs? or also known as new players, absolutely no chance. If your level 25, and would like to expierence the raid first hand, you can't. People wont let you join. If your level 28 or 29 and want to get that helmet to boost your light level to 30, you can't players wont even give you the time and date to even train you on what to do in VoG. That's not including the new raid, i had a mate who was new to the dlc raid, and he got KICKED! for what? for not knowing what to do, it was his first time, and he tried for 3 hours to get a good team.
So in essence what you butthurt people learned is the following "code of ethics" Destiny players follow:
*If your new to VoG you'll get kicked and not shown how to do it
*if your under the required level by 1 or 2, or for the love of Christ 3 light points, you'll get kicked
*If your just one item away from getting max, or you just really want to raid or even learn how... Goodluck
People give no chance in this game and it's disgusting, Thank you to the players who showed me how to do raid, and complete Crota's end. I'm now level 30, nearly 31 and a half with proper gear equipped and maxed,
*No edit needed to say the following*
My body is ready for all the hate/racist/immature comments/random sayings.
I'm prepared for the 16 year old's ready to jump on this thread and rip me a new one saying how "their not the cause"
Everyone in the Destiny community has at least once kicked or didn't invite or didn't want at least 1 person in their fire team because they are new and don't have the proper training and experience we do.
This worries me on how Destiny will grow. but lemme guess what the first few comments are going to be...
"What's Youtube for?"
"Google how to do it"
"what an idiot"
"shut up meg"
"just read the Bungie forums and learn how to after a few hours you'll remember"
If this gets outta hand, i'll just delete this forum and go on with my day
EDIT: STOP SAYING "YOU" IM WELL SET FOR RAIDS FOR 3 OF MY CHARACTERS ARE 32. JIST STANDING UP FOR OTHER NOOBS THATS ALL IM DOING

Edited by C Moth: 3/9/2015 12:41:13 AMThe Destiny community has a fatal flaw. It's populated with people through the internet. As a general rule, the internet is a haven for weak minded trolls. These people will find anything and everything to write disparaging commentary only to cause grief. The community social controls include a mute feature that allows you to mostly block seeing posts made by specific members. I highly recommend it. Number 1 rule, try not to feed the trolls. As far as the rude and inconsiderate players go, the consoles also have a block feature. The rude jackasses just makes it easier to identify those you don't want to game with. Write down the gamer tag and block them after the match or raid. Simple.

I have and still do help people with the raids, if you are on xbone just shoot me a message saying what you want to run and if I am free I will help, gt is vulgar663

Been playing since day one and haven't done either raid lol
-
Getting to 31 is easy. Go do it instead of crying on the forums.
-
I completely agree. Low levels shouldn't be allowed in. There's a level Recommendation for a reason. It is extremely easy, if not time consuming, to reach level 28 or higher. This allows you to do vault of shards and reach 30 or 31, and allows you to do Crotas end.
-
You are trying to skip the boring aspect of grinding marks. You can get to 31 extremely easy. To easy to be honest, VoG is the second hardest content in the game, some would argue the hardest. I know this may be your first taste of reality, but in real life people refuse help to those who refuse to help them selves. Almost every single person you are hoping to be carried through the VoG by has done the grinding you think you are to good to have to do.
-
Why don't you get to 31 with vanguard or crucible marks? You can get to a high enough level to be effective in the raid and then run normal raids till you know what you are doing.
-
I don't bother with raids because of this.
-
I say this a lot, i will carry i will teach add LOuiELOGics
-
You can get to level 31 by just doing Crucible or with the light level 33 shard gear. You can collect shards from daily public events and daily heroics. It's like a probation period the game puts you in for a month to learn the game.

Edited by Edithe Puthie: 2/18/2015 10:02:38 PMTake a full team of 30s into croata HM tell me how that goes... You can hit the second highest level from Tower gear there should be no reason that you're 25
-
Easy... Dont do the raid at lvl 25, i didnt even attempt vog normal til i was 28.

Bumping to watch arguments

To be fair the reason I won't carry low levels through the raid is because...well I can't. believe me if I still had a raid group I would gladly do it but I have a hard enough time finding a group who knows what to do themselves...
-
You can buy gear from vendors to reach lvl 31. If your not high enough level to do a raid you're just lazy. If you don't know what to do in a raid there are plenty of vid tutorials on YouTube that will walk you through it. There really is no excuse.
-
To bad you don't put as much effort into grinding for better gear as you do writing this. You might be level 32 by now.
-
Edited by LostMiind: 2/6/2015 9:30:22 PM-blam!- your "code of ethics". I'll carry low levels all I want. I'll take my god damn time explaining every part of a raid to ensure a smooth run. And every now and then I'll drop small pieces of information to help someone I see struggling at a certain part of the raid, as I damn well please.

YouTube is your friend.

Edited by Little Light: 2/6/2015 5:00:41 PMGo rank your vanguard and get vendor gear. Period. That's what I did. I'm an independent player and I didn't spend days and weeks crying to level 30+ players to carry me, I got my shit up and now I can raid happily.

All so true, I thought the Halo community was shit but this has gotten even worse in a span of six months.

Edited by monkyken: 2/6/2015 5:29:26 PMI happily show new players how to complete the raids its not really a big issue. The only time I think this doesn't apply is if your 2 levels below the start level on normal mode raids. If your level 24 or 28 for VOG/CE after reaching the final area with the higher level enemy's you no longer do damage so cannot take any of the roles therefor I cannot teach you how to do anything? in this case I explain what you should do to improve your level and suggest you come back when i can actually show you what to do. I don't mind carrying lower levels past the first area or 2 but they will pretty much just get carried and learn almost nothing so kinda defeats the objective. EDIT: Just realised OP is from December but still above.
-
I'm more than happy to help first timers and quite often post it on the forums.
-
Instead of complaining that no one will carry you..why don't you just learn how to do the Raid first by doing your homework and get to Lv 31 since it's basically been handed to you? This isn't an 'us' problem but more of a 'you' problem. I teach friends the ropes and what to do, sometimes even carry them through, but that's with my good friends and not just randoms. Sorry but you can't get upset at people not wanting to spend their time teaching you everything they know because you're too lazy to go online and figure it out on your own. And with that I'll also mention that I used to help people through VoG all the time and now I just don't want to, I'd rather spend my time on Destiny doing other things.
