Nightfall: how I(we) did it.. get a team

I am a level 30 titan, however it can be done on 29. . If you are a titan, using the flashbang grenades can be quite effective given the way the hive rush at you. I would forget about your super in most cases, only using it to shut down areas with the aftershock perk on. Prioritize your grenades on stealth vandals, shanks, melee reaver captains, melee knights, boomer knights. Keep it for key moments. Everything can be blinded. Arc weapons are absolutely needed, a fusion rifle, a sniper rifle and a heavy. Solar weapons are useful during the fallen engagements, shanks have solar shields and are deadly in packs. Some witches have solar shields during the mid and end engagements Bring some ammo synthesis. Bring a team! My loadout: Striker titan level 30 with armamentarium Flashbang grenade Super with aftershock perk Vex(VOC works, hand cannons are great) Murmur on Arc and Patience and Time Dead orbit Arc HMG *Level 30 Nightfall enemies listed* First engagement: Fallen and Hive Your radar will begin to show enemies as you climb the stairs, I would not go any further than that first small room for the entire engagement. There are armored reaver captains that will enter that room, along with several dregs on the ground that will fire through the window at you. To the left is an armored reaver captain, looking out of the door to the right there are 3-4 snipers near the far wall, one is armored. Immediately to the right of that room is a spawn point where new waves of enemies will come out. There are waves of shanks that will come into that room and will follow you down the stairs, there are also stealth vandals that can chase you down those stairs as well. Shanks will come from the right side door and will come in packs. Arc damage will take their shields down, solar will do it quicker. Stay in that room and take enemies down one by one. Play it safe, have one person hold back in the stairs, helping only when enemies enter that room. That person is your insurance policy if the other two go down. You will probably die once or twice at least. Everything does arc damage with the exception of some dregs with that shotgun. The Hive will begin to infiltrate the fight, I'm pretty sure you get an announcement and should be able to hear the thralls. There are lots and lots of thralls which will kill you in one hit. If you stay back in that room, have all three of your team focus fire on the right side door and take them down as they come in you will survive. Grenades, supers, defend that room. Fallen will come in to the fight from a door on the back left side of the far wall, they are armored stealth vandals, and dregs. They will come in that "safe" room if you wait . Focus fire and stay in cover. You're almost there. Kind of.. Once you make it past that room, it becomes the last fallen engagement. This is where an arc sniper rifle becomes very important. Stay in the warehouse, with a warning that shanks will randomly generate on the left and at the rear of that room at some point. When they appear there are several others that will begin. to swarm that room from the entrance. Split up, stay in cover, have one person with solar focus their shields down. They seem to show up when you clear out one of the two captains on either side of the outside of that warehouse door. There are snipers, everywhere.. armored ones, reinforcements, there is even one on the ledge above the door of the warehouse waiting to snipe anyone that ventures outside. There are two on the right, two on the left and they do come in reinforcements. So.. Stay in that room. Keep an eye on your radar, we only had one wave of magical shanks appear in that room but more may pop up. Snipe the snipers, and get ready to snipe reinforcements coming up that ramp. They will also jump up and come from the left where the far sniper was and to the right where that far sniper is. There are captains and there will be stealth vandals. The dropship will start dropping off reinforcements further back. Be patient, snipe as many as you can. There are several armored captains and stealth vandals. Snipe, use heavies, push up very slowly, those tracking arc weapons are just evil when they have room to find you. Dont forget about that sniper above the warehouse door. Eris will tell you that you are done however any left over enemies don't despawn, and four dregs appear in the room you are about to run through. Are we there yet? My Heavy is getting hungry. Shrieky mcwitch will meet you around the corner, spawning in thralls and armored cursed thralls. Back up and focus these guys down. Next up.. witches. Arc can do enough damage to their shields at this point, they like to play hide and seek. Stay in the main area, engage the witches first. An ogre will pop up once they are down, back up and get around the corner. Let it come to you. There is a cursed thrall that sometimes gets stuck on the far right side near the rocks. There is also a boomer knight high above the hill where shrieky is. Go slow, battle it out. There will be shielded and armored sword knights, thralls, and armored and shielded boomer knights. Final engagement: Follow the prints to the next area then stay in that room. Snipers aren't as useful, you dont want enemies in shotgun range so fusion and heavy weapons are ideal. My strategy relies on flashbangs. Ok so that first room has a little ledge on the right where you can hide during cursed thrall reinforcements. You can also leave that room and head back the way you entered a bit. This room is not safe, you will have to defend it. Cursed thralls will spawn out of the door on the right, be careful! Arc shielded sword knights will enter the room, blind them or run! Wizards and acolytes generally stay out of the room. Boomer knights usually dont enter but can get a good angle on your team from the front facing door. Also.. to the right and directly above that door is a little office where an armored boomer knight spawns. He will kill anyone peeking out of that room. I took him down with a flashbang bounced against the opposite wall and two shots from murmur. There are two armored boomer knights that stay towards the back wall. Take the right one down as one or two good shots from him will wipe a closely grouped team. He has to be taken down, you need that part of the room in front of the door to be safe. The boss works in waves, destroy the reinforcements. Thralls, cursed thralls. Shielded sword knights will enter that room. Boomer knights will fire at both doors, acolytes will also find cover and fire in. This is where you need to prioritize your grenade usage. wait until a knight comes in and blind him, use your heavy on boomer knights. Once the reinforcements were shut down, I would tell my team that I'm going to frag her, I'd pop out and aim at one of the towers on the bridge she floats around on, pop back.. watch for damage to indicate through the wall, then tell them she was blind then we would focus fire her quickly. She tends to float to the back of the bridge. There is a boomer knight back there so dont chase her, fire from the ground, then get back in that "safe" room, far back. When she shrieks its time to hide. Her reinforcements are coming. Wash rinse and repeat. On the second or third wave she begins to spawn additional witches, hit them with your flashbang as well or dont tell your team to hit her as you will all die in seconds. They all have to be blind This allowed us all to hit her really hard for at least a few seconds safely. It took us 4 waves. 5 on level 29. I tried to be a hero by ground pounding, it worked great once, the second time I just ended up stranding my ghost too far away to safely revive. You can leave the fireteam and rejoin if you decide to be Rambo. Though it sets you quite far back. It takes a lot of patience and a decent fireteam with communication. That was a lot to write. I hope it is slightly helpful and not as long winded as my phones screen makes it seem.
