I will start with the bad and end with my suggestions for improvements, but first and foremost... your DLC was a ripoff. No cutscenes to add life to my character, hardly any dialogue with what dialogue there was just being a woman talking at me, the new guns are almost complete recolors with the exception of exotics, and every "new" area truly was already on the disk. In fact the only area I had not already seen via some internet-found screenshot was the Jovian Complex, and while that was awesome... it was NOT $20 of awesome.
I will say the exotics look cool, and I will say the raid is fun, but again, you and I both know that's not $20 worth of content still. I finished it in a day (have not finished the raid yet but I am at Crota, so unless there is something huge and exciting to see after he is dead...) Anybody can take the time to look back on my posts and see that I was 100% behind Bungie, but I just want to say that if the House of Wolves is going to be released in a similar manner, I am going to be far less then impressed.
I'll throw in also that when I was prompted to pre-order the game at gamestop, the employee told me the season pass DLC would "double the size of the game". I am not claiming that was a statement made by Bungie, but that was DEFINITELY a statement made out the ass, because unless there is 98% worth of content in the House of Wolves or within a quest coming from Xur, not a bit of that was true. All in all, this DLC felt like another patch that I was charged for rather than given for free.
I still respect Bungie, I still enjoy playing their games and playing Destiny, but this DLC was a bad one and I am hoping we can genuinely learn from mistakes here and make House of Wolves into something to remember. I felt like I was having new experiences for weeks on end after Destiny released, and to feel near the end of the DLC package after just two days tops is most discouraging.
So with that said, here are some changes we need to see in House of Wolves.
1. New places to explore... that is new places not already on our disk that I might have already seen from leaked images, articles and whatnot.
2. Cutscenes! I know some people get sick of cutscenes after a while but gosh damn Bungie... add some life into my character's journey! I want to see him doing something other then the same old running animations again and again and again.
3. Features! Add in new features... player owned houses, sparrow racing, survival mode, hide-and-seek even! I don't want to see re-skins and recolors, I want to see NEW!
4. Melee weapons. I know that would fall under features but I can't stress how awesome the gravity hammer and energy sword were in Halo. Also, I replay the Sword of Crota mission SO much just because it's so cool having a third-person view of my character being a graceful badass.
5. I know this is another feature and I know you've heard it but BANK... VAULT... SPAAAAAACE my friends. Not giving that out is almost not even an option because of how badly it is needed.
6. Werewolves! Seriously add some blamming werewolves into the game. For serious. I don't know why but it would be sick (AKA add in some beasties we won't be expecting; not renamed, recolored versions of what we have).
So there you have it. Those are just the suggestions off the top of my head and I know a LOT of players can get behind those suggestions I have made, as well as provide even better suggestions of their own. Please take this to heart for any future game expansions and updates, and have a wonderful day.
