If you keep getting "hawk" give this a try.

If you can play crucible/tower but get disconnected from any sort of "public" realms as I have had lately. I did this on 360, it can be done on other consoles just find your network options. First, you need to set yourself up with a static ip for your xbox. Go to your network options on the dashboard, and configure network Next, change the ip from automatic to manual. For your ip you keep everything the same except the numbers after the last period, ( 1.1.1.1 <--- that number) if it is defaulted between 1-10 set it to 200 or to make sure the ip wont be taken by your modem already by another piece of equipment. You're subnet mask will be 255.255.255.0 in 99% of cases And lastly your gateway is typically the same first three sets of numbers as your ip and the 4th is set to a 1, for example if your ip you selected from step one was 198.255.1.200 , the gateway would be 198.255.1.1. Once that is done see if you are able to connect through the connection test on the xbox, if it connects to your modem but doesnt make connection with xbox live, continue with this post. If you are still not connecting properly, take a stroll back into the configure network options, we will be setting your dns's manually now, you have two options, get in contact with your isp and ask for your dns's and tell them why when they ask, or you can set your dns to go through another host like google for example, make your primary dns 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4 and fire it up! I hope this fixes some problems, as It did mine, the hawk disconnects extremely hindered my gaming experience and i am hoping to help you guys not suffer as well!
