Yesterday I managed to get my new legs for my Titan that completed my new Vangaurd set, save except for the helmet, because damn... that thing is ugly. I took my old gear and passed it down to my secondary Titan and he's decked out in obsolete armor. I'll be honest the new gear reminds me of the Dragonborn Skyrim DLC armor. And to me that's not a bad thing because I love the big fur neck gaurd on both. I've given up on Destiny. I just play patrol and Tiger Strikes. For some reason or another I manage to drop purples on Mars in patrol, and I mean a lot of purples consistantly. Four to five in the last week. Two yesterday. So RNG seems pretty kind. Luck seems steady. So Patrol seems like a nice moment in alone time to shoot things in the face. But on playing Tiger strikes I've noted the consquence of the latest DLC casualty. The removal of the Crytarch's reward. This is a big deal since it now relegates players who didn't just blindly buy the DLC to second hand citizens while saying too bad to new players as well. Pay up. That's fine. I as a consumer can spend twenty on this, or I can instead take that twenty and turn it into forty for Warframe instead. Oddly enough I'd rather take forty to Warframe and deck myself out on gear, color selections, weapons, and inventory slots that extend into the game, rather than into a clock ticking down to the next DLC in destiny that renders everything moot point. Or better yet, just take the forty and stick another twenty on it and pick up another game that has better reviews, story content, and actually wants me there. I don't know who's in charge of Bungie. But your pay to play system is disingenuous. I'd consider large open Enviroments and access to story while charging for better toons to explore this setting besieged by ???over the current model. There will be fan boys rushing to your defense. But I've seen the comments on YouTube and gaming blogs throughout portions of the Internet. It doesn't look all that good. The bad word of mouth is seeping out before the holiday season and gamers are already fighting over the validity of Destiny 2. I'd stop slapping your player base in the face every Tuesday, and I'd get to fixing some internal staff issues on whoever making these decisions. You're only setting fire to the goodwill your name ecrued from Halo with these blatant player brakes, frustration, and walls that are dividing your actual base willing to stick around from vanilla to the new DLCs. While giving the press that follows gaming a chance to point out the horrible treatment of your player base. Strikes are already suffering player apathy as it is. Piling onto that is hilariously funny. But I can always see the humor of the situation and roll accordingly. Take this as feedback. Punishing players playing your game whether they bought the DLC or not is not a great idea for the sequel's endeavor.
