Now this is pure speculation but if anyone has a chance to try it then it might be worth a shot. I was thinking about a 'times vengeance' for Crota and I wondered if perhaps each sword bearer in turn did more damage? if the sword bearer changed each time going from one team member to the next perhaps the damage multiplies each time that a new / different sword bearer was used? Thinking behind this is we all get a 'practise' with the sword at the bridge part with the gatekeepers, maybe this is training? A bit like having the relic earlier at the templar in the VoG... And / or if more damage was applied after each time a team member dies (without reviving them). Thinking behind this 2nd theory is based on the '6 went in only 1 came out' part of Eris's story, maybe that was a subtle hint all along? So the more dead members of the team there are the more damage the sword bearer does per hit? Or it could be that more damage is done during 'oversoul' so sword bearer attacks during that while the rest of the team kill the green eye thing. Thought's? Anyone tried any of that?
