Meaningful Crucible ranks/better MM.
Anyone else struggle with the random bad players in Crucible? I can't seem to ever get a proper team of individuals that know how to play the game. This is one of the reasons why I don't PvP in most games, I know I'm going to be let down by the bad players and lose. The worst part is that I'm not that good at PvP, the matchmaking always gives me the worst of the worst. I know it's my fault for playing matchmaking by myself and not bringing anyone competent with me, but Jesus, every game is the same I lose because of players going -15.
I believe that if we had a ranking/matchmaking system based on wins and kills, every match would be more intense and close. I'm tired of having games where it's a team with 3 good players and 3 average or bad players and my team with 1 good player (me) and 5 dudes drooling on their controllers. Good players vs. Good players, Bad players vs. Bad players. Not only that but Crucible might actually mean something now, not just another set of bounties to do.
What do you guys think? Should bungie add ranks?

I feel like there is some logistics calculated when MMing in Crucible. 90% of my matches I'm matched with below subpar players against a team of average-ish players sometimes I can carry sometimes I can't. I'm always never paired with players who topped the board on their team. The matchmaking can be further improved because I feel more comfortable if there's a second player on my team who is somewhat decent when I'm doing trash bad.

9 RepliesIf you want to make destiny pvp competitive you'd have to take out half the game. This game is sooo casual it's mind boggling any game where you can press a button and be rewarded with a kill so easily doesn't deserve ranks. If you want ranks you'd have to take out the following -No Supers -Replace heavy ammo with secondary ammo -remove shotguns and fusion rifles -Remove nearly all exotics (TLW, Vex, Thorn Ect.) -Remove all level advantages (aka perks) -Remove jetpack/double jump (map control) -Remove fusion grenades -Remove most weapon perks -Remove most armor perks -Remove the game from your disc tray I could go on all day, this game isn't competitive period. It's mindless fun, Cod on steriods, nothing wrong with that but don't try to make it something it's not. Ranks are good in good Pvp games

My biggest disappointment is that there's no private matches. One of the best things about halo was being able to play competitively with your friends or trash talking the competition in matchmaking and taking it to a private match. I will be seriously disappointed if this isn't added along the way.

I would actually spend more time in crucible if this happened. Because I'm not that good lol.

2 RepliesI hate crucible. I suck at it and I don't play it. But ranks and matchmaking changes would add to two things: - People competing against others with the same skill level. This would be welcomed by shitty players like me and better players who hate people like me ruining their team. - More meaning and reason for the PvP grind. Something to strive for. This would of course make sense AND be more fun at the same time, so it won't happen.
