Community, Just a noobie here with a question. I get that upgrading weapons will increase the amount of damage they deal and that upgrading armor will increase the damage it can take however, do you NEED to upgrade gear to find better gear? That may or may not make sense but is the game coded to give you a higher chance of finding a legendary or exotic piece of gear on a raid? So far I have just been replacing gear with the better gear I find about the game and dismantling the weaker items. No reason to store weak stuff in my opinion. I plan on continuing this method until I discover a very high end Legendary or Exotic item and wondered if it was correct logic. Any other tips regarding this topic are welcome as well. Not there yet but just trying to wrap my head around leveling up past 20 and how gear plays a roll. Been watching and reading a lot on it but it's like reading about open heart surgery.
