How Sony got their exclusives
I really don't get why we don't get them for 1 year. 1 YEAR. I get that Sony paid more to get content but a YEAR. I think this is how it went
Sony: Hey if we pay more will you give give PS4 players more things
Bungie: Sure we'll give 1 map 2 weapons 1 strike and 3 sets of rare gear. Xbox players will get these when the dark below comes out
Sony: When does that come out
Bungie: December
Sony: Whoa, Whoa, Whoa we are not paying extra for 3 months. We want Xbox players to suffer not having the things we do make it longer.
Bungie: I am sorry we can't...
Sony: NO WE ARE PAYING FOR YOU TO GIVE US EXCLUSIVES FOR A YEAR
Bungie: We can't...
Sony: I'll make you a deal. You give us the exclusives and we'll pay you double.
Bungie: Double the money sure

3 RepliesYou don't think MS were involved in negotiations? They obviously balked at the price and lost out. I'm on Xbox and guess what? It doesn't bother me, I don't think about it. You know all that stuff about cut content and missing story? Doesn't bother me, I play what is in front of me and if it doesn't meet my needs I stop playing. It is that simple.

1 ReplyYa it's pretty lame! I am not sure how many more systems they really sold due to more content... FPS' are better on Xbox due to the controller! (Maybe that's my opinion) ... But I did the VOG with a dude not to long ago that had 3 Lvl 30s (back when it was boss) on ps4... But switched to XBOX due to the better community apparently. So from the sounds of it extra content doesn't always buy you extra gamers... Fyi I am on XB and have been helping people beat Crota! If you have one person that really knows what's up and the other players have good weapons and listen it can be done within 10 mins everytime... Stop taking 2 hrs out of your life to try and do it. If you know what's up on Crota's end... Share your knowledge within the game and help the gamers that aren't very good at it... In the end it will be rewarding to everyone as long as we continue to pass this on! Destiny Lfg recruits will be an asset and not dead weight!!! And you will save time to for THE GRIND! Lmao

According to your math. Bungie actually loses money in that deal. 3 months = x amount of money but 12 months = 2x thats a loss to Bungie

Has to do with activision not bungie. The publisher handles that and tells bungie to make some extra stuff to meet the contract.
