Upgrading Old Exotics in DLC
So in the Dark Below you can achieve level 32. And in order to bring our exotics up to that level Bungie announced that we will be able to use an exotic shard to upgrade our existing exotics. However, do so will reset their progression.
This is ridiculous. We have to give up all the time and materials we pumped into our exotics if we want them to be viable in the DLC? So essentially there was no point in ever upgrading our exotics and we should stop upgrading them immediately as they will have to be reset if we want them to be usable in the higher levels of the DLC. UURRRG!
Let's all let Bungie know we do NOT want to have to reset our exotics in order to bring them up to the DLC level 32. Please come up with another solution.

Upgrading your weapon helps in obvious ways. They could have just released new Exotics and left the old ones obsolete. The upgrade starts with higher attack. Less materials to upgrade the new one. Considering the old Exotics still do great in the new Raid, the upgraded versions will be WELL worth it. And it doesn't even take long to upgrade.

I agree its point less to upgrade. The only thing i might consider upgrading is the dual grenade chest for titan. But i will probably buy the new one.

2 Replieswell you have to wait for xur to have the weapon you want to upgrade before you can upgrade it...and the non ungraded exotics will still be viable for the first month of the dlc considering the hard raid isn't coming out until January. also I heard that once you reset them it takes less xp to max them then before
