So, like I tried (months ago) to tell every religious fanatic who was 200% sure that the "extra Subclass slot" is proof of a 3rd Subclass coming at a later time, Bungie has now very surprisingly confirmed that the slot served a purpose for Subclass locking, an intended feature that would allow multiple copies of the same Sub.
