So I've just finished reading the 'The Dark Below Preview' posted 3rd December & 3 Quotes stood out to me. 1. [quote]New Legendary gear will feature higher Attack and Defense values[/quote] 2. [quote]This new, more powerful gear will be available to all players of Destiny[/quote] 3. [quote]Legendary gear will not be as powerful as new Raid gear or Exotics [/quote] Okay, so from the above quotes I can deduce that the Crucible & Vanguard Vendors will replace their current armoury with weapons which will feature higher max ATTACK stats than the current max which is 300. However, this gear will not be as powerful as NEW Raid (Crota's End) weapons which I assume will have a max ATTACK of 323 based on the Vex Mythoclast buff. So where does this leave VOG weapons i.e. Vision of Confluence, Atheon's Epilogue, Fatebringer etc? Imagine a situation where the people who were lucky enough to earn a 'Fatebringer' as an RNG drop by investing several hours conquering the level 30 VOG Raid on Hard are met with a predicament where the basic Crucible/Vanguard Vendor is selling non-Raid hand cannon's that all possess higher ATTACK potential. Also, where would this leave the event exclusives like The Queen's Wrath: Supremacy or The Iron Banner: Jolder's Hammer? Would these weapons also become inferior to the legendary gear being sold on earth post expansion? Two weeks ago I invested over 50 motes of light reforging my Iron Banner Armoury, was this all for nothing? This would not only be unfairly punishing to those who invested the time and effort into getting the most out of each Event/Raid, it would also make no sense... no sense at all. POSSIBLE SOLUTION Similar to the Vex Mythoclast buff, the VOG Raid, Queen's Wrath & Iron Banner Event weapons should receive an ATTACK stats increase which would bring it (at a minimum) in line with the new Legendaries that will be available for purchase on Earth post expansion. Make this a reality Bungie!
