[b]Step 1[/b] Fully upgrade your Exotic [b]Step 2[/b] go see Xur. Xur will now sell exotic shards needed to fully upgrade the last exotic nodes. [b]Step 3[/b] [u][i]Buy your exotic upgrade.[/i][/u] Once you have fully upgraded your exotic to the 300 cap you can use an [b]exotic upgrade[/b] to reset your your exotic but [b]ultimately upgrade[/b] it. You will need an exotic shard to either purchase the upgrade or to use the upgrade you get from xur....that is all.
