Exotic drop rate lowered in DLC?
Greetings guardians. Here's a question-will exotic drop rates be lower after the dlc launch? As Bungie has announced there's going to be new exotic gear added (presumably) to the pool of possible exotics in exotic drops. Which particular exotic you get is random (as far as I know) so the chances of getting the particular exotic you're looking for is rarer. This presents a problem if you havent gotten the exotic you wanted yet. For example, I'm one of those guys whose been farming for the Hawk moon since day 1. I've been doing the nightfall, weekly, and raid 3 times a week along with tiger strike playlist and crucible since launch and haven't gotten it. As the hawk moon is an exclusive, Xur will not sell the hawk moon or Monte Carlo at all until(possibly) fall 2015. The only way to get it is RNG and the drop rate is very low. Lowering it further without offering some other option for a better chance is a bad move methinks. I've already bought the dlc but I personally might abstain from downloading the dlc until I get the hawk moon because of this.

I think the drop rate will be the same. But the chance of getting an exotic you want is super low. I can't remember all the exotics off http of my head but there is: 3 auto rifles 3 handcannons 2 pulse rifles 1 scout rifle 3 fusion rifles 2 snipers 2 shot guns 2 rocket launchers 2 machine guns. This means you would have a one and twenty chance of getting Hawkmoon. I have it and it's amazing. I recommend getting all chests during the raid and beating Atheon first. Then do the nightfall, weekly, then eventually resort to Tiger strikes. What console are you on. If you're on PS3 add TannerJE so we can shred. I won't be on this week though.
