Awkward Moderator Interviews - Foman123

Disclaimer: None of the forum ninjas or mentors are employees of Bungie, nor do they represent Bungie. They are simply volunteers who were chosen by Bungie to help moderate the forums. Foman123 was kind enough to grant me an interview. In it, we learned where Dazarobbo lives, another reason to blame stosh, and other interesting things. Here's how it went:
o_____________o Tue Greetings Foman123, Thank you for agreeing to the interview. You've been a moderator at bungie.net for as long as I can remember. What brought you to the community? FoMan123 Tue Hi longface :-) I bought Halo: CE back when it launched in 2001 and was immediately excited by the franchise. During the Halo 2 days, I checked in on Bungie.net frequently, and lurked quite a bit in the forums, reading threads about multiplayer strategies and feedback about weapon balance. I loved the sense of community that I observed and the frequent discussion with the developers. Finally, in 2006, I made an account and started posting. o_____________o Tue At what point did Achronos entrust you to be one of Bungie's personal Ninjas? What did you think when this happened? FoMan123 Tue I was asked to be a Ninja in March 2008. When I saw the message from Stosh in my inbox, I was excited and nervous. I've never clicked "open" on a private message so fast! o_____________o Tue Of course, it all makes sense now! I knew somebody was to blame for your promotion. So, how many throats have you slit for bungie? FoMan123 Tue None. The term "Forum Ninja" is just a clever way of saying "moderator." That's kind of a weird question. o_____________o Tue Oh....nevermind then. Let's move onto another subject. What is the funniest thing you've witnessed on bungie.net? FoMan123 Tue There are so many hilarious threads throughout the years. I'd say the ones that pop to mind immediately are "how do i become guyto ban people" (http://halo.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?postID=27842439) and the guy who couldn't figure out how to post a picture (http://halo.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=440707). FoMan123 Tue Oops, wrong link on that last one -- http://halo.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=10556450 o_____________o Tue I remember that thread, hilarious times indeed. For my, the funniest thing I witnessed was porch day. Speaking of memories of bungie.old, do you remember how many times you and the other ninjas permabanned me? And do you ever feel guilt over doing such a thing? FoMan123 Tue Honestly, I haven't kept track of all your alts, so no, I don't remember, nor do I feel guilt. o_____________o Tue ........................let's move onto something else. I heard you were a lawyer, specifically an antitrust subject matter expert. Does this mean you sew distrust between rival companies to lower their morale? Of so, how is his accomplished? Do you send fraudulent patent claims while claiming to be the other company? I'm no law expert, so forgive me if anything I ask sounds stupid. FoMan123 Wed I am indeed a lawyer, but "antitrust" means that I advise my clients on competition laws. You know, laws against illegal price fixing, monopolization, and similar. It doesn't mean that I actively work to destroy anyone's trust. o_____________o Wed How do I know you aren't trying to confuse me? Never mind, I am already confused. Disregard that question. o_____________o Wed Here's another one. I want you to imagine this scenario: You go to the PAX EAST and decide to invite Dazarobbo to your place. (assuming he went to PAX EAST too). The dining room is dim, a candle-stand in the middle of your granite table sets a romantic atmosphere. Dazarobbo is sitting in your lap, his looking gorgeous in his red silk. He gives you a wink. My question is this: Which were your favorite moments from Bungie's halo games? FoMan123 Thr This scenario is completely unrealistic. I really can't imagine dazarobbo traveling all the way from Australia just for PAX East. Maybe PAX Prime. And red silk? Daz is much more of a purple velvet type. In other words, Assault on the Control Room. o_____________o Fri What do you think of Destiny, is it either okay, disappointing, extremely disappointing, or do you wish not to think about it? FoMan123 Fri Do I have to choose one of these? I like Destiny. So whatever the option is that equates to that, that's the one I choose. o_____________o Sat If you either like or dislike Destiny then you are a troll. Well, at least according to my scientific analysis of the Destiny forum. I have one more question: If you were forced to play "spank one, kiss one, and date one", and the choices were True Underdog, Bobcast, and Recon Number 54, what would you do to whom? FoMan123 Sun I guess I'd spank True Underdog, because he's kinky, kiss Recon so I can feel the tickle of his beard hairs, and date Bobcast because who doesn't want to date a doctor? But to be clear, I'm happily married :-) o_____________o Sun Thank you for taking your time to grant me this interview Foman, it has been very enlightening. FoMan123 Sun Thanks for the questions -- also equally enlightening!
Thanks for the interview! Who shall I attempt to interview next? (I sent Daz a message, but no response. He may be a bit shy.)
