Best Templar Method Post-Patch

Sniper Oracles and Templar from top ledge

Jump down. Don't kill Oracles and cleanse group

So, I've tried doing the Templar on hard mode after this most recent patch in two separate groups and failed miserably both times even though we had 5 lvl 30's each time. Both groups decided that the best method was to have all non-relic holders stay up top and snipe/rocket the Templar since there are so many Harpies below. I feel like there has to be a better way because this didn't work out very well. Any tips? Preferably by people who have successfully completed it on hard after the patch.

  • It depends on who you are playing with. For a solid team, jumping down and blocking teleports is the fastest and most effective way to get past Templar. If playing in a pickup group, strategy I find that worked is one person goes down and takes care of all the supplicantsand 2 oracles (hidden right hidden left oracles), the rest of the team can take care of the remainder of the oracles and snipe/rocket templar at every opportunity.

    • Go down, kill oracles, break shield, shoot, block teleports, kill minotaurs. Win.

    • everyone stays in a group on the left side L ramp and door to the steps leading to the spawn cave, kill harpeis/oracles, cleanse. pop down shield and unload with weapons of light. rotate and repeat when he teleports. very fun fight and easily achieved on hard mode.

    • sorry to tell you man...but both your groups are rookies. We did that using the first method, with 3 30s 3 29s, on our first attempt. Easy peasy.

I've done the: "all stay at the top and the relic guy kills the back 2 oracles", "jump down everyone in the middle, don't kill oracles" and "jump down everyone far right, do kill oracles (you can see)". The "jump down, everyone far right, do kill oracles (you can see)" method seems the easiest, unless you have an Epic relic guy.

    • This thread is a real eye opener O.o You can tell from the vote percentages who the cheesers are, who know some legit tactics to bring him down, and who know the absolute fastest way to bring him down. The best way would fall under "other"

Just go back to killing the Templar from top right. You only have to block him from teleporting to the one spot up top and can kill all oracles but left steps from the top spot. Just cleanse on that one. This fight is so easy if you do it the way everyone used to do it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-Rz9zRkjgVo

      • When I did the hard raid this morning my group had something very weird happen, shooting him with the relic did a massive amount of damage and we killed him in two teleports

      • Go to the back right corner and you can avoid most damage and get both oracles about half the time.

      • You should mention if this is the method done on hard mode or normal. Two very different situations.

          • I just run relic below and kill shot and have the others rocket/snipe the Templar and/or oracles. I mainly take care of the oracles as well though. Super easy.

          • The best way is to hope for no glitches, and a good relic holder. just had an incident where it took 2 minutes to kill a single constantly respawning Oracle. :3

            • Jump down, cleanse group. Stay in middle part, harpies rarely come down there and even if they do, relic can 1 hit them.

            • I tried both, and after we wiped multiple times we sniped from the top while one person got the relic
