HC's in the VoG

I keep on being told that they are terrible. This is clearly a lie (Seeing as I use them all the time, and leads the raiding party). Why do people think this? BLUB

  • I use Fatebringer and it wrecks. I have the hand cannon cuirass so ammo isn't a problem.

  • Only thing I had a problem with was running low on ammo during Atheon.

I use Fatebringer in all areas of the VoG outside of the Oracle phases - Aethons Epilogue is just too good to not use. EDIT: to answer your question regarding the effectiveness of HCs in the VoG, if you are good with them you should slaughter the mobs. I normally have the most or the second most kills in the VoG everytime I break out the HCs - you can one-hit most enemies if you hit the crit zone so that more than makes up for lack of clip size or reserve ammo. I pair up my HCs with my Hunter. Along with the Gunslinger's reload/stability skill and HC reload perk on his grips, all of my good HCs have Outlaw....I can reload these HCs in well under 2 seconds - so clip size is never an issue for me.

    • Everyone I hear talking shit about handcannons sucks with them and says something like "they have such low ammo and they take too long to reload" Like quit bitching and learn how to get crit hits. LHF, TDYK, and Fatebringer can all have 12+ rounds per clip which means I can down 12+ goblins/harpies in the normal raid before you and your suros have finished off 3-4. A good HC user will always lead the raid in kills every damn time and still people don't understand why they're so powerful.

    • The hard part is that they're such little ammo clips and because of that you have to reload a lot and you're going to get in situations where you going to be crowded by a lot of enemies and the last thing you want to do is run out of bullets however the nice thing is though is that because it has such high impact if you're at level then you can pretty much one shot everything if you're good enough

      • I run Hawkmoon/ praedyth's revenge for gatekeeper/ Atheon. I run VoC/ice breaker for confluxes and oracles. I have found this to be the most efficient method.

        • Nothing wrong with hand cannons mate, although I run voc for pretty much all of it, it's still a great choice, hawkmoon and fatebringer are most mentionable
