Anyone who hates on this post is stupid u should have to earn ur weapons and people who glitched atheon and got any gear ex armor weapons should have them taken away because it's stupid not have to work for them and earn them like others.ex I have ran the hard raid 15 times and just 2day I got the vex drop after we killed him without knocking him off which is a whole other conversation

There should be less strange coins. Maybe 3 for the level 28 strike and xur only comes 2 times a month. That way Exotics are actually exotic

Alternate compromise: make exotic bounties for every exotic weapon, and have your vanguard mentor occasionally give you an exotic bounty for an armor piece, and you could get a choice between three. Much better than 6 voidfangs, 5 Sunbreakers, and 5 armamentiums.

5 RepliesExotics should not be handed out through RNG or sold by Xur. What they should be is a bounty/chance at getting said exotic. For example: You complete the nightfall. Your reward is an exotic bounty for ??? Step one: Have the weapon frame examined by the gunsmith to determine what weapon it is. (For this example I'll use Hawkmoon) Step 2: Kill 300 Fallen Captains with head shots. Step 3: Obtain 10 weapon parts. (Can obtain through chests or dismantling rare or better handcannons. Step 4: Take the weapon parts to the gunsmith to be assemble. (Cost X amount of glimmer or coins or something) Step 5: Obtain exotic materials that enable the weapons abilities. (These was only be obtainable while an exotic bounty is in your inventory. ie: Exotic weapon shards or something) Step 6. Defeat (insert enemy name), they hold the last piece to greatness. This enemy would have to be found on one of the planets...completely random location on patrol...and the patrol would be lvl 28, possibly with modifiers. Step 7. Speak with your vanguard mentor. (Insert awesome cutscene that provides a backstory / legend for the weapon. End cutscene and weapon is yours...

Yes keep him the way he is. I understand the feeling when you're no longer the only guy in the group with a specific exotic, but in the end its just such a childish feeling to be jealous because someone else has the same toy as you.

It's this simple, if nightfall is going to give me -blam!-ing coins, then I damn well better have a place to use them. If you get rid of Xur, then Bungie better damn well guarantee me an exotic from doing the nightfall and the raid. No more coins, no more shards, no more energies, and no more bullshit rewards. Straight up exotic rewards. If you want xur removed, fine, but my ass better be guaranteed good -blam!-ing loot as compensation. End of story or blow it out your ass. I don't care which.

I am indifferent to Xür being in this game, I can still snag exotics from the raid or possibly the nightfall. Xür is just another way to enjoy and play the game, nothing more nothing less. When you and all the others finally realize this, the game will be much better

Exotics are meant to be one of a kind and unique. If everyone has easy access to buy one and running around with it equipped then it's not really unique is it? I earned the last word in a nightfall, and the plan c from the raid. As well as a few others. But they aren't unique at all. Most of the people I know have bought them from xur. I think xur should give you another avenue for trying to obtain but not necessarily selling one outright. Make it a challenge. Do x in y amount of time. Or complete x so many times. Kind of like the bounties are. Make xur the exotic bounty guy but don't make it easy. Give it a time limit. Say for as long as xur is in the tower.

I would be fine with engrams only. Maybe tweak it so it guarantees an item for your class, even if at an inflated price.

Have him sell engrams only at 50 coins or something. That way you can't just do the weekly three time and be able to buy anything. This also eliminates the increased presence of a weapon in pvp. I'm looking at you suros.
