Xur has not ruined this game. You have.
Some of you need to realize how childish it is to gloat over a piece of loot in Destiny.
I don't care how you obtained it. If it be from RNG, or Xur, it was earned... mostly. I say mostly cause you could have been AFC and got a Exotic. But it's random so whateve.
But this entitlement has to stop. I know it is a small percent of this community that believes RNG loot is earned and you are better for it. This is a very ignorant way of thinking. As well as childish to gloat over what you were rewarded with.
It's also selfish. More than likely most of you play with a set Fireteam. Wouldn't it be beneficial for everyone to have the best weapons instead of just you?
A friend of mine and myself have been wishing for Hawkmoon for a long time. No matter which of us gets it first, we will be happy. It is a incredibly good Hand Cannon. The more damage we are able to inflict, the more effective we will be.
But I know some of you don't want that. You want to be on top of the scoreboard. To which I have to repeat is selfish and very immature.
If you know a weapon is good, and you know someone who got it. Be happy. Not cynical. How do you think they feel when you got it? Probably a little left out.
I know it's a stretch for some people, but consider others instead of just yourself.

We all walk with RNGeesus. My congrats to any guardian who gets to bathe in the light of a good drop. I always give a shout out to anyone who posts on the forums that they got a good drop. Be happy for that moment, Guardian. The RNG giveth, and the RNG taketh away. Amen.

Usually I stay out of these conversations, but I have to say... You can't earn something that's random. You got your Icebreaker from a strike? Congratulations, you were fortunate enough to get a good dice roll - that's it. [b]All you earned was the right to get those dice rolling. You didn't deserve that Icebreaker any more or less than your teammates.[/b] The idea that getting X-weapon from a drop is an "earned" reward is ridiculous. Just stop.

5 RepliesI got Gjallarhorn the day before xur sold it, did I whine? No. I got plan C twice before xur sold it, did I whine? No. I loved the day xur sold the last word, the weapon I had wanted since I started playing, and I finally got one from atheon 1 week after, the wait was over and now I could have one in my vault at all times. The rarity of the weapons is not what makes them exotic, it's their unique traits. So stop being whiney little brats since you're not the only one with a shiny toy, rejoice that other people can share the joy!

Guardians ARE special forces of the Light. Should we all not be equipped and armed equally so as to defeat the darkness and revive the traveller? >.>

Wonder how many strange coins you get from doing weekly with all your other chars. Welp, now you have 18 strange coins or more! How long did it take to get that exotic, buddy? An hour? Maybe 2 if your slow. Can someone now please tell me how long it would take to RNG Plan C? 2 weeks? 2 months? 2 years? What is two weeks in hours? What is two months in hours? How many more hours is that than one = how many times harder it is to RNG Plan C. U wot m8 People who RNG exotics earn them! And its definitely not even remotely debateable the person who aquired their Plan C through RNG put way more time and effort into aquiring it than anyone who bought it from Xur. Another thing. Acting like your friend is ill equipped because he doesnt have an exotic weapon. Acting like a good bit of exotics arent sub par to many awesome legendaries. Exotics are supposed to be RARE! Go ahead and look up the definition of exotic for me. But exotics are not special or rare because Xur sells them.

People who buy from Xur are generally more entitled. Of course, Bungie did a fantastic job with their crap RNG system to begin with which made the necessity of even needing to have Xur in order for the casual players to get good shit as well. Totally agreed. Hey I got my MIDA Multi from the crucible and then my Alpha Lupi from Xur. So what? It's not like there's "Fake Exotics" or "Real Exotics". Hey I've been wanting the Patience and Time for a while now, and waiting for Xur to sell it or RNG to give it to me will take Patience and Time. So if there's wind of Xur selling it then I'm getting it. I don't wanna every exotic...just the ones that suit my playstyle.

You post is so true. People are just in general foolish they want to be the only one to get an exotic, well this is true it's nice to be the only one having a exotic. But I think one of the best example is, imagine everyone have the Gjallahorn in your fire team you can finish Atheon in one portal the gatekeeper will be down in 3 rockets ... I have to admit in PVP, you see everyone with Suros or TLW ... and what you have the chance to get it from Xur so everyone is at the same level, just you you make de difference. You are good or not. I don't like playing Fusion Rifle in PVP and I'm bored to be killed by Fusion Rifle players but I have to admit that it require a bit of skill to be good with it.

I run my Nightfalls solo most of a time and I view it as "earned" but at the same time I love the fact that there is Xur and everyone including myself has a chance to get gear or weapons we simply can't get to drop no matter how much we play

Anyone who bitches because someone took the time to EARN strange coins (yes EARN, they don't just magically -blam!-ing appear) and then bought something from Xur should just shut the hell up. I've gotten plenty of Exotics on my 360 account through BOTH gameplay and Xur. (I've only bought 5 items from him) and I don't care whether you got it whereEVER. All I care is that you USE it to help us if I'm raiding/striking, cruciballin, or whatever. Enjoy the damn game or not, but don't YOU act like a jackass and make OTHERS feel less than you. All that shows is that YOU are pathetic and jealous of others. Get over it. Don't like that I BOUGHT a damn Icebreaker? GO GET ONE YOURSELF! No one's stopping YOU from Weekly Striking.

I'm directing this message to the cry babies who demand to be a unique Guardian with unique weapons and don't realize that there are thousands of people that walk around and look exactly the same with all the same weapons. That's how the game was made. There's only so much content to go around. There aren't 1,000 exotic weapons and armor pieces to set everyone apart. Deal with it..
