Sick of 30 only runs
I don't understand the point of people not letting 29's into hardmode VoG. I'm sick of not getting into groups and not being able to do hardmode. I only need the helmet to get to level 30, but none of my friends are ready to do hardmode so I have to resort to finding random groups but people won't invite me cause I'm only level 29. Does anyone else have this problem?

I've been seeing a lot of this. I think the 30s responding to posts tend to be arrogant. It sucks so I have been trying to raid with lower level people. I know I needed help so I try to pass along the karma. That said, I have had some bad experiences. People say they have experience and they really don't. They present that they only need more people to make a fireteam and they would be ready to rock it out. Then I see they have rare guns, a friend that is also coming and is a 26, or they truly don't know the mechanics of the raid. That makes it super frustrating and has made me more discriminant of who I play with. I seriously ran a raid this week with a 23 in the fireteam. It was horrible! At the same time, I found a group on here that had never ran the raid. They were honest about that and I stuck with them for 5 hours to get it done. Tlrd: there are 30 elitist jerks. There are also lying low level players that screw it up for the rest of you.

Or they already have a group of friends to raid with who are at the desired level. Just get some 29s and run it. We did it, so you can too. 30s aren't needed, it's sink or swim in your situation. If your friends are holding you back from achieving you in-game goal of hitting 30 then you need a new raid group whir on the same path of progression as you my friend. This is just some friendly advice.

Did hard mode with only 5 people, 2 lvl 30 one of which was me and 3 lvl 29's, it's about team work and skill not the lvl, you play which console? I'll be able to help anyone if they want, I'm on ps4 and just got the helmet myself for my 2nd alt to get lvl 30 :)

I didn't grasp the situation in its full entirety until I hit 30, and every group I raided with thus far was halfway comprised of 29s. They are a detriment to the run, bro, I'm sorry. Of course, this isn't always the case, as there are 29s that are far better than 30s out there. But, to tell you the truth, that's a rarity. More often than not you'll see those level 29s dying first, and dying repeatedly. They can't handle their portion of whatever side they're designated. Therefore, they have to resort to constantly bobbing and weaving, ducking and dodging, which ultimately detracts from the likelihood of a swift and successful completion.

I feel your pain! They're lvl 30 scum bags (NOT ALL OF THEM) just exotic hunting, perhap after the elusive Maltese Falcon a.k.a. Vex Mythoclast! Why else? They obviously have their 30 gear, why else would they exclude 29's? So much for our community uniting together to fight the darkness! So 30 pricks, enjoy your vog runs! Soon, moon raid will be out and as a 28/32 raid, I'll be running my 29 Titan for 32 gear!!

No sense in wasting my time for a group of ungrateful haters (not saying that you're one, but there are plenty of those out there). I love to help folks especially if they're new or their group needs it. I leave when there are arrogant glassholes telling people what to do and who are the first to die at each encounter but it's always someone else's fault... And in my experience it is usually the 29's in the hard raid. Either no one was covering their back or no one told them they had incoming etc. I'll stick around and slug it out, just for the sound of excitement from that one user who beat Atheon for the first time and they're ecstatic about Chatterwhite lol. Sometimes though your BS meter gets full and you just rather find experienced and geared players to knock shit out with. EDIT: if you're in XB1 add BlizzRush. I will get a group and do what I can to help

I don't get why dude? I just did the hard raid there was 3 of us 30s and 3 29s was the best random group iv been in recently...had some trouble During the last boss because of stupid mistakes and glitches, But we all knew it's just a matter of time till we complete it...was great, wish all of the raids where smooth as that.

It's cause most 30s have already grinder for days making same characters to get to 30 playing vog for hours just for one run and now that they're 30 they don't want to do that again that being said I usually let 2 29s in on my runs the problem is when you say "2 29s " you get spammed by a ton of 29s and no 30s. Even when I post 30s only I let 2 in if they msg me and not try to sneak in. Have max weapons say that you have max weapons and msg people even when they say 30s only if they just need 1 or 2 most likely they will let you in.

you can get to 30 without doing the hard raid just do normal runs and then use an exotic helmet

Either: 1. Get yourself a exotic helmet 2. Get a group of 29's 3. Wait for your friends There are alot of options out there that is just a few but most people want only/mostly 30's because it makes a run faster and you all seem to forget that level 30 can be achieved without ever stepping foot in a hard raid!

I've had the same problem. Can easily do the normal mode, experienced and I've got maxed out IB and GH but because I'm not a 30 I don't get invited either. Just keep doing normal until you've got chest, arms and legs and exotic helmet. That'll make you a 30 and nobody can complain. As for the 'can't do as much damage' why can't we? We have same maxed out weapons. It's taking damage that's the issue, not dealing it.

Because it's hard enough with just 30's. Having even one 29 makes it a whole lot harder, as you do less damage, take more damage, therefore dying easier, and as its hardmode, there's no return. Thus then causes hassle as if they had another 30, they (might) not have the same issue. I see where you're coming from, but honestly, it makes it harder. It's level 30 for a reason

I would say get a group of all 29 and go. I'm sure it can be done just a bit harder Hence the hard raid.

Surprisingly its up to the person who starts the group who they want to invite or what criteria they ask for in people wanting to join. If you don't like it, SIMPLE :O start your own group. I had this problem for a while myself but it never stopped me from doing the raid 3 times a week, every week until i hit 30 on all three characters. FACT is that its their choice to run 30s whether you like it or not

Im a 30 and only take 29's to help people. But I do require 2 30's including me
