Got mine from the raid last night, so the first thing I did was jump into the crucible.
The nerf must have been pretty severe 'cos I'm kill-trading all over the place with most Auto-Rifles.. I stuck on the stability ballistics 'cos I hated the recoil but my impact and range has taken a hit. When I can get the upgrade I'm thinking of going for range rather than the magazine extension (blasphemy, I know haha)
So, to all Mythoclast owners out there: How do you run yours, and how do you find the Myth most effective?
Cheers! :D

Shoot them in the face. Crits still deal shit-tons of damage.
-
Im not a big fan of crucible but i use smart drift control and enhanced battery and it is alright if you can constantly get headshots. In my opinion it is equivalent to the VOC which is my favourite weapon hands down. Its not that the vex is bad its just not good, it is as good as most legendaries. Its no where near the best exotic in the game. It is good for taking down weak creatures
-
Just get them headshots.
-
Work the head shots.....
-
Go for range and stability. It's still viable in pvp if you're good at headshots. But I prefer vision of confluence, hawkmoon or the last word over the vex. I had it nearly 2 weeks before the buff and it just got nerfed to hard. It's nice to run as a trophy weapon but then again. To many ppl got it by glitching and cheesing.
-
I use the perk for the extended range in the crucible, then use the battery for PVE.
-
If they are not gonna buff this thing anytime soon, they should just kill the hype and make it a rng drop instead of only hardmode atheon, as theres really nothing special about it anymore, its horrible...... absolutely horrible, ammo just ends so fast and any other weapon is better, id much rather use hawkmoon forexample. They nerfed the damage way too much for a weapon that should be the best. Now its just a suros regime... Just a bit worse though.
-
I think there's a stability boost and a range boost, once you have those it's much better
-
It still seems like a solid gun. Never had it pre patch but I when I do use it I use smart drift control and send it.

Edited by Oshnaj: 11/27/2014 11:56:04 PMMythoclast originally dealt a 53 of precision damage. This weapon it's excellent in order to perform headshots because of its stability. (Using the third cannon.) However, after the patch, it deals now a 35 of precision damage which still makes it deadly at mid-long range encounters. Now, they probably nerfed it too much because since everybody was bouncing Atheon of the ledge, everyone was having the Vex with no effort.

Scrap it

Edited by Collene319: 11/27/2014 12:55:40 PMOk heres a good tip on how to use your mythoclast since post patch its up to you wethere you max it or not but the best use of it is to let it rot in your vault cheers have a great day and use suros regime or vision of confluence happy you happy ktd in crucible
-
Lvl it up then put it away until the buff comes out
-
Its the best pvp right now with headshots. Suros is best with body shots in pvp. Pve its Okay, its great on the moon. Its really for the next raid. U can ask Deej if he thinks it still needs a buff after we beat them with vexes. :)
-
Don't use it.
-
Upgrade it fully, put it away, and then use the hawkmoon. Wait until DLC to use mythoclast.
-
It sucks ass. Vision of Confluence is miles better.
-
Max your mythoclast out that is all
-
I found the Mythoclast great in Iron Banner but in regular PvP I can't kill anyone with it.
-
Fire it like a scout rifle and don't hold down the trigger while aiming for the head. I use it like this and its decent, could use more ammo though.
-
in my honest opinion put it in the bank and admire it from afar and only use it for one bounty, LOL.
-
Is it best fully leveled up, and make sure to get the citicals. Also, try to find armour that gives you more fusion rifle ammo, because it tends to run out.
-
Pro-tip.... Don't use it
