Patches: is the game more fun because of them?

In my circle of friends I can't find a single person that thinks this game is more fun than when the vault of glass first came out. Each patch seems more focused on "encouraging" us to play how Bungie want us to, with what seems like very little consideration for what the community want/find fun. These gameplay modifications are being given higher priority than basic bug fixes (Atheon fight), weapon rebalancing (it doesn't take 2 months to buff Juju and Thorn), and quality of life improvements ( more vault space have been requester since week one). To those defending Bungie with "These things take time". They managed to nerf a whole class of weapons (and specifically the vex) after 1-2 weeks, they patched the Priest cheese spot 1-2 weeks after it was the nightfall and became public, and of course they have been systematically destroying every farm stop they can find (in a game that requires farming, which is lazy design). It wouldn't surprise me if they destroy chest farming before they implement new more fun (sensible) was of getting mats. In summary the patches have been almost universally reductive, focused on taking away options (and arguably fun) from players. I for one dread each latest patch notes. Notable exceptions: -Atheon cheese patch, I cheesed you cheesed we all didn't have fun, good fix. -AR nerf, yeah you used to be at a massive disadvantage if you didn't use one. I haven't even touched on the bugs, every patch seems to introduce more bugs than listed changes. Anyway what do you think, is Destiny better than it was to start with? TLDR: Bungie patches baaaad? Game less fun? Wot you fink?
