To the entitled imperialists invading these forums This is a follow up to this post http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/80387941. As much as we new people may have invaded this land and as much as the existing community has a valid point that they were here first we must not forget how it is we came to be here. So to those who came before. Please remember this was not exclusively a choice. Bungie sold us a game and as part of that game told us we had to come here if we wanted to learn the story because either they could not be bothered to include it in the game or they wanted to deliver a rich multimedia experience lol. Many of us wouldn't even have used the forums except that the games requires us to play with friends but ignores the fact that some of our friends may have different systems or just not that into Destiny. So we were tossed here without warning. Forced to the forums without any freakin clue what the hell was going on or what the hell Bungis was thinking. We arrived to find people here but a lot of the new users had no idea that the community pre-existed. They arrived to bungie.net to find what looked like a Destiny dedicated land where in all persons were equally new and everyone was here for the same reason. Sure this was false but it is the situation Bungie created. As much as you built the community Bungie still owns the infrastructure and basically they sold you out. So now we are stuck with each other to build a new community that includes both the old and new. I will continue to be a pompous know it all prick and I will continue to argue with and pressure people who believe that 12 year old locker room antics are normal behaviour for adult gamers. Because that is not the community I want to build with you. Take heart though. Ten years from now, after we have created a new community from this one with new rituals and behaviours Bungie will sell us all out when it releases yet another franchise and forces a whole new generation of people onto these forums. Rinse repeat.
