Will Sony ever invest in Security?

Investing in some security for their systems might have been a good idea. Sony Corporation has been hacked. Globally, Sony is offline right now as the Corporation is dealing with this. With the world moving to more and more digital platforms as the everyday norm, is this even acceptable to let this happen to your systems? This isn't a DNS like most people claim as "hacking", this time it's the classic, actual hack of their systems. While I do not in any way condone what the hackers are doing, how could one of the world's largest technology firms ever let this happen? Discuss.

 • Sony spends in the hundreds of millions in security. In one month alone they reported $170 million in security upgrades. This is the kind of problem that no matter how much you spend can happen. And Sony isn't the only company this has and probably happen again too. There are people out there that have nothing better to do then spend countless hours trying to hack systems. All these companies can hope to do is delay them from getting in. It is a never ending battle. How much have you spent on security for your personal data protection? I would bet you haven't invested 170 million dollars. So they are trying a lot harder then you are.
