Games from any platform, what were your favorite games/series that have since gone under or been turned off that you think deserve a remaster or revival? [spoiler]When I say any system, I mean ANY system, PC to all home consoles[/spoiler] Personally I'd take a revived Star Wars: Galaxies over any game that's out there today. If you don't know, Star Wars: Galaxies was a MMORPG on the PC that released back in '03 I believe, and it would still beat the hell out of the market today if SOE hadn't cancelled it in 2011 for the less than stellar TOR. The reason I got to thinking about SWG was when I realized that Hearthstone is a digital CCG, and after watching gameplay and streams of it, I realized it had abosultely NOTHING on the old SWG: Trading Card Game. SWG: TCG had incredible depth and a great base with the MMO already (not to mention the incredible art work), and its expansions and 4 player heroic encounters (card game versions of raids from Galaxies) were among the greatest times I've ever had on a video game. Unfortunately since the end of SWG, I haven't had much of an interest in PC gaming and as a result I moved on to consoles since I wasn't a fan of a lot of other games that were popular on the PC. While there are EMU's out that are built by the community for SWG, unfortunately the TCG is an aspect that is most likely dead forever. I really miss that community of both card game and the MMO, as most of the community doesn't play the EMU's after the shutdown. I think gaming could really use a lift in the form of a solid, incredible game like SWG. So what are great, older games you think should be remade and kept running for years to come that the gaming industry could really benefit from?
