Do many girls play destiny??
I thought I met a girl doing the raid but it turned out it was a boy who hadn't hit puberty and it got me thinking.... I'm not saying there aren't i was just curious to de how many

2 RepliesMy teenage daughter plays pretty much every day and sometimes we team up but from bad experiences, she feels she has to lie about being a girl or she gets tortured with friend requests...and thats just the polite ones. Some demand proof by attempting to get onto her FB page which I absolutely will not allow...gamer is a gamer gender has nothing to do with it and in many games, she tops the leaderboards with ease ^^

I know only 1 female that plays destiny and we became friends quite quickly and personally i think that the female gamers are more understanding in a relationship if you are a gamer because they know what its like to get so into a game. Also i will say that people go WAYYYY to overboard about finding a 'girl gamer'...just saying'

Yes we do play and I personally have gamed since Atari lol. I love it and love gaming with my husband. You don't see many due to the troll population that is out there. "I seen gurlz on gamez and interwebz!!!" So there are some that wont use a mic or a female character :-(

If you find a girl who loves Destiny... No... loves gaming, keep her close. Female gamers tend to be a little bit more rational when it comes to gaming. Any girls that play on PS4 add me. If I'm bad in a strike, do crap in crucible, have a bad day and you assume I'm male it's just 'get good' or whatever. If the others know I'm a woman it's all 'pms' 'get back in the kitchen'. Like my game skills revolve around my sex just because I'm female. Never seen a male player get this reaction. The assumption always is that I'm male, regardless if the fact I have three female toons. I get replies calling me bro or guy or man. If I was a brilliant player, high k/d, got flawless raider in one attempt, solo the nightfall with a level four using melee only I'd be fine just going into fireteam chat in crucible or whatever. As it is I'm mediocre and very aware of it. Very aware that if I do poorly it's not me as an individual it's me representing my entire sex.

She's been an FPS fan for years, completed the raid multiple times, beaten all the Halo games on Legendary mode (both solo and duoing with me), is a die-hard Left 4 Dead fan, and was an avid PvPer in EverQuest 2. Oh, and she works at Gamestop so I get all her discounts...#livingthedream If women seem rare in gaming it's because the gaming culture is generally hostile toward women and very few games represent women well. Treat women, or anyone for that matter, as equal members of the community and not as outsiders and I guarantee you'll start to see a lot more of them out and about in the open.

Yes. Nearly half of my clan are girls. Each one can hold their own in the vault, nightfall and crucible. And work well in a team.

1 ReplyPresumably hundreds of thousands of women have played or continue to play Destiny. Possibly millions. Whatever the total number of Destiny players is, a large minority of them will be women. Multiple reliable studies and survey's over the last 5 years have shown that more and more women are playing games like Destiny, and the percentage of female players is much higher than you might think. Probably a sizable percentage of the people you've played with are women. I see people here asking why more women don't use voice chat, identify themselves as women or post here on the forum, but I would think the answer should be pretty obvious. This community and player base is pretty hostile, toxic and generally awful.

4 Replieslets face it.. there are two types of Gamer Girls.. A.) "Gamer" Girls Mostly quite hot, but also quite useless are gamers.. Do it for the looks and the notion of being a "hot nerd girl". Not really interessted in games, neither in the Bits around and mostly try to sell stuff on their Youtube/Twitch/Uplay Channel. "do it for the clicks" B.) Gamer "Girls" mostly quite ugly and hard to distinguish from a puberty kid. real nerds and love gaming a lot, but really hate the girly stuff.. so they mostly are quite not-so attractive and don't go for any "boy-girl-shit" the third subclass is basically non existent.. and only exists in single individuals.. mostly gamer"girls" that overnigth finished puberty and developed a Hot body and face and tent to look like a "Gamer"Girl, not really knowing what to do with the vast male attention that suddenly broke in over their nerd life.. =) and thats my GF =D...
