What is happening to Halo?
I mean sure people love the new halo but me....I do not see what happened to it. I loved the old style of halo. Now ever since halo 4 I feel the style has changed. The online is not what it used to be.

2 RepliesIt's moving on and evolving. Halo needs to move on and become something new or else it'll be the same game over and over and soon enough, will become outdated. I really like the way Halo 5 looks and am glad that 343 is taking a step forward. Halo honestly has a brighter future with what 343 has been doing.

It's undeniable at this point that Reach was Bungie fulfilling contractual obligations to deliver a final Halo title, whilst using it as an opportunity to test the waters for Destiny. It made no sense for a prequel to change so much as it did, but then those changes are all key features in Destiny... Now every new Halo title is going to a mess of convoluted gameplay choices, but thank God we have the MCC to turn to.

Once MCC servers are working properly you can enjoy all the classic Halo that you prefer, I love it all! MCC is great.

1 ReplyHalo is my favourite game series so I'll get it regardless of how it feels. The only Halo I dislike is ODST, it never felt like a real Halo to me it was pretty pointless. Obviously Halo 5 is going to change and I think it's for the better, I know I'm not the only one saying this but judging on the Beta gameplay I love how fast paced it seems and I love the new sounds. Hate me or not it's my humble opinion. The game will be a massive hit for gamers who love the Halo series. I can't wait!

343i wants to make Halo games with their own mark on it, they want it to be instantly distinguishable from a Bungie made Halo game, distinct in it's own right. They want someone to be able to give a very clear answer when asked, "What's the difference between Halo by Bungie and Halo by 343i?"

I want a first person shooter that feels relaxed and a bit more slow paced. Ie. halo 3.

11 RepliesTo give me an idea of how you feel, how about you list what you dislike about what halo 5 is offering? I've seen lots of posts about halo 5, from good bad to neutral. Some of the bad is in short statements though. Like" halo is turning into cod" I've never liked cod. Yet I'm pretty damn excited to try h5 beta. Did the new cod suddenly switch to a shield pop head shot formula? Wouldn't this suggest I'd love cod? Do those guys play cod at a competitive level So they can actually cast judgement on new halo? Or is It smart scope or Sprint they're hung up on? Lets have a healthy discussion. Halo 4 added to much, very unnecessary stuff that didn't add to a dynamic competitive sand box. Lots of what was added wasn't good, some weren't bad. Thuster being a good one. It added to unique dynamics during 1v1 especially at close range. No more camo camps, random ordnance shit etc. Though.

I agree. I don't like the fast pace almost modern shooter theme of Halo 4. Reach did add change, but it still maintained the relaxed, Halo feel. It's probably just a 343 vs. Bungie thing.

At first I hated halo 4 but now since I played it I like it except for the load outs and the sound of the battle rifle. Halo 5 seems to be really fun. it's going to take awhile to establish that this is the new halo.
