"Only the true weapon of the light can stop his wrath." IMO
I strongly empathize the "the" in this line, meaning there is only ONE weapon described as the "true" weapon of light, of course. I have had word that many people, though very few, may already have this weapon. I dare say it is the Vex Mythoclast. I personally think this is genius of Bungie to do, nurfing the VM until it is of true value in the dlc.
But hey, I'm not here to ramble, I'm here to offer my services. I just so happen to be a lvl 30 warlock WITH a fully upgraded VM. Add me. Don't add me. It's o.k, I'll be fine, I promise you.

I don't think the true weapon of the light is the vex because only a small percentage of players have it. If it is the vex then only that small number of players will be able to kill him making it unfair for everyone else. I think the true weapon of light will be something like the relic from the vault of glass or something along those lines so everyone can beat the raid. Don't hate on me im just stating an opinion.

Like, we will be dodging his abilities while he is invulnerable, killing adds until the damage window occurs, and then blast him with our various light abilities. Just an idea. But it does say, "the" true weapon of light. Sword of Crota equivalent made from the light of the traveler? Maybe this new person gives you a sword that can damage him, and only one person can use the sword at a time? Im really hoping for some type of communication based event, where one person at random (as is tradition) is teleported to a dark realm with Crota, and has to survive there until his team completes a task to inturrupt the ritual that is causing this. Kind of like atheon, but only one person at a time does this, but when going one on one with Crota, they have a sword to fight back with. Also it is speculated that Crota will take on multiple "forms". What this means, we do not know. Maybe some type of deception, taking the model of a random party member, and confusing everyone as to which one is the real guardian. During this event, team killing is activated, and if you choose to shoot the wrong character, you kill your teammate. That would be fun too.

1 ReplyNah, I think the "True Weapon of light," needs to be given to the group that beats the game first. Kind of like how Bungie gave that one guy the Fate of all Fools. Plus, give them the title "The heroes of legend," or something from beating the final boss of the game. But, only those people can have it! ^_^
