So I had a cool idea for the hive raid today, I get that it won't be put in cause the DLC is pretty much done but I just want to hear your opinions on it. Basically you go into a circular room with an altar in the middle. There are doors in a ring and you have to defend the altar from the hive. However at the same time one of the doors is your escape route through which you can escape to the next area. Incorrect doors take you back to the altar but the right door takes you to a new room, identical to the altar room but with no altar to defend. The process repeats and you have to find the correct door again, going through the wrong one takes you back to the altar room and you have to go through the first door again. This happens several times and you have to remember each door you go through in case you make a mistake. Enemies spawn in each room and it's a trade off between how many scout for the way out and how many defend the altar. What do you guys think?
