An Open Letter to all Destiny Players!
Honestly some of you people are awful.
Personally, I love Destiny. Every week doing the raids and nightfalls with new people, making conversation and having fun playing Destiny. This is why this game is so good. The idea of this game, the importance of cooperation in playing it, is what makes it so enjoyable.
But then there are these few people that ruin it for everyone. Every Friday when Xur comes around and you get those people saying "I earned my gear, you're all Xurners". The people who are now saying that people who hit level 30 through Iron Banner are fakes. And then those people in the community with no compassion, like when someone with severe medical issues was given FOAF, and today I saw someone who is fighting depression called a "pussy" by another person in the forums, like seriously, where are your morals and values as a human being.
These are the people that spoil this game for the rest of us. I have come across very few of these people actually playing the game and the majority of people I meet and play with are great people and we have good fun.
But then these people that complain about Xur and IB lvl 30.
WHO CARES!!
I'd rather have more people at level 30. It makes the hard raid each week a lot easier. And to those who want Xur removed because he sells things you got in a lucky drop. Why? When Xur sells these things your future teammates get better armour and better weapons, making raids, strikes, and crucible easier.
Why don't you just get over yourselves and enjoy the game for what makes it good, which is the sense of community you get from working as part of a team and cooperating to achieve things in this game.

I'll never understand the "I earned this" mentality in this game. It's all random unless you buy the gear or weapons from a faction. Nevermore the fact how easy it is to join a raid even At a checkpoint and get 2 chances at gear if u start at an oracle Cp. I've met a few people via strikes, tower or someone messaging me if I wanted to do a weekly or nightfall and they have all been cool.

9 RepliesBecause in reality there's really not much here besides grinding. Think about it, from level 1 to level 20, you're grinding to get to the top. Then from 21-26 you're grinding again to do the raid, and then the raid comes and you do that a butt load of times till you get to 30. That's all this game is, doing the same missions, strikes, raid, and crucible over and over again till you finally get to 30. Honestly the only thing keeping people playing is habits or addiction, that's it.

1 ReplyFACT: The Destiny Community on the whole is a great group of players. We just get marred by the handful of lifeless, spineless and dickless whelps who try to bring forth some form of negativity because their existences are so pitful they see no other usefulness than to try to bring others down to their level. It's a slow process, but they're will weed and wear themselves out in time, and we will become an even better place. Just wait until Dec. 9th, those of us who've invested in the DLC are going to be blown away and those who don't will just be here doing the same whining and bitching and insulting. It's really sad how that's a constant thing, but oh well. Fight on Guardians!

Hi, I am like you, I can't understand people complaining about the way you use to reach level 30 and not be happy for them : - IB easier than last time -> one week evening with 2 characters to got level 5 - raid where you have to lucky (not so hard, the hard part is to find 6 peoples) -> 3 months with loot only one boots arca (stack 29) and chest hunter (been 30 because IB) People thinging you have the good and the bad way to reach our purpose but there are all good because the fun must be the best part of the game.

I agree! We have way too many people putting people down. To people that say "xurners" don't earn their gear. WE GRIND THE WEEKLY FOR COINS TO BE ABLE TO HOPEFULLY AFFORD WHAT WE NEED!!!! WE ARE ALSO ALONGSIDE YOU "REAL" 30'S IN THE RAID HOPING FOR GEAR AND CONTINUALLY NEVER GETTING THE DROP! THAT'S WHY IT WAS WORTH GRINDING FOR DAYS TO GET THE IB GEAR! *not shouting just really wanted that to be seen* Xur requires work to get stuff, Iron Banner required a lot of work to get the gear in my opinion.

I'm a lvl 30 Titan with all raid gear and exotics out the ass but I love playing the iron banner and I personally think people who had to grind out the rep for the gear earned it more to be a lvl 30 that way, because let's face it, if your lvl 30 with raid gear you got it by luck just like I did I also got the vex on the first try which was also luck

Yup. Don't fret though, the amount of people that don't troll the forums and that don't go out of their way to make people miserable far outweigh those that do.

I know I'm an asshole for saying, but you're all assholes!" And yes I realize the irony in my post. At least I didn't write a ten paragraph long "open letter" giving everyone a good telling off.

HI dear. I wish more people would just enjoy the game. Give feedback, thats a great thing to give, give constructive feedback, Bungie needs that and it sparks great conversations. But when everyone gets so negative it bring down the mood for everyone else and really doesn't get anyone anywhere. One of the best things about this game is the community. Yes the game needs fixing, and its being fixed as we speak, but if people get nothing else form this game i wish they would open their eyes to the amazing community that it has created! The Guardian Radio Network part of the community alone, we raised over $11,000 for Extra Life this year alone. My clan said over $1,300 for Breast Cancer in 24 hours. This game allows/pushes people to meet new people and work together and some great fun and friendships have emerged from that. Yes there are jerks but beyond them are some great people! Thank you for this post dear. More people need to stay more positive and just have fun with what we do have until we get more! Keep talking, keep giving feedback to Bungie and other people, but stay respectful and positive as much as you can and I promise suddenly this game that some of you complain about so much will become magically so much better to play! ps to OP I am the founder of Dames of Destiny .
