The same blob found being worshipped by the Vex, is the same shit Hive Knights use as shields. So far I can't recall the Vex and the Hive ever fighting, whereas you will often find: Fallen vs Hive; Cabal vs Vex; Etc. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Just from what I gather - not reading the grimoires - these entities (Gods) are intent on snuffing out all life/light they come across, and tracked the Traveller to the ends of the universe to rid themselves of their last real threat. I can only make guesses, but I'm sure the Vex and Hive are linked by these "gods" - I didn't even have to shoot that so called god before he shriveled up and died of an aneurysm.
