I have finally named my characters...

So this morning, as I was getting ready for work, I decided that I was tired of just calling my characters by their class names. I thought up names for each and even a little story as to how they chose their name (remember, these guys were revived with no memories of their past). Here's what I came up with: Main: Warlock, Awoken male Name: Lazarus Reason/Story: In any RPG, I always name my main Lazarus, but he has his own reasons for choosing that name. As a Warlock, he has pored over thousands of tomes from Old Earth's past. During his studies, he came across one called "The BLE" (the cover was worn, so he couldn't make out the entire word). He read the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead, realized that that sounded a lot like what he had gone through, and took the name for himself. (Note: the "Lazarus" in my GT does not come from that...it is the name of an actor/contestant on the original American Gladiators) Alt 1: Titan, Exo male Name: Wrex-42 Reason/Story: As a sentient machine, he knew that he had to have some type of memory written to his internal hard drive (brain...do exo's dream of electric sheep?), but it was corrupted after years of sitting in the harsh Russian environment. One of the first things he did after he got to the tower was visit the Exo doctor (repairman) to try and have his memory recovered. After working on it for a couple weeks, the doctor finally got back to him with information. It was incomplete and scattered, but he did have memory of his name and creator and/or owner (their relationship was unclear...we'll call him his owner). His owner had been a huge nerd (much like myself) and was a big fan of nerdy things from Old Earth, specifically "Mass Effect" and "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" (much like myself). When he purchased/made Wrex, he named him after the most badass character in Mass Effect, since the Exo had been designed to wreak havoc in battle. And the 42 is because "42" is the answer to life's most important question. What a nerd. Alt 2: Hunter, Human female Name: Samus Reason/Story: As a human, she was the only one of my characters to have a driver's license on her when she died on that freeway in Old Russia. After being revived and fighting through the Fallen, she finally had a chance to go through her belongings back at the Tower. She found her wallet in her pocket and (re)learned her name for the first time. She had no idea where it came from, so she paid a Warlock she met to find anything he could on her past. Weeks later, he finally came back to her with some information. She had been named after her great-grandmother, a famous bounty hunter from Earth's Golden Age. She never met the woman in her first life, but as the Warlock told her of her namesake's history, the stories she had been told in her childhood all began to come back to her. She knew she would have to live up to her great-grandmother's name. (Now that I've named her, I really want to put some more time into this character to make her as strong as my other characters). That's it for me. Have any of you named your Guardians? Do you have any reasoning for those names? Have you created a story for them? I'd be interested to hear what others have done.
