you can carry more ammo for auto/scout
reload your auto/scout quicker (this goes for vision of confluence/cryptic dragon) midas - meh...
I have not played the iron banner much and will not because I have 3 characters grinding PVE all day. My hunter's vanguard rank is a day away from being capped out at 15. cryptarch is at 65 with the hunter.
With that being said, I much rather carry and reload my auto/scout rifle quicker then heavy ammo.
Honestly, I rarely use heavy ammo.
My main setup is maxed out Cryptic Dragon Or Atheons Epilogue and maxed out ice breaker. It's all I need :)
Raid gear is focused on carrying more heavy ammo and reloading heavy ammo quicker (something you would need in a raid)
elsewhere - I rather have auto/scout re-loaders and still have level 30.
Although I won't play iron banner for time's sake - I can see great use of those boots and gauntlets. No one should discredit them.
Happy playing.

*Than Iron Banner armor looks nicer, but your reasoning is personal and does not apply to everyone.
-
If I used auto/scout rifles then maybe. Since I use handcannons and snipers...no. more shots of G-horn or Thunderlord over 1 second reload buff.
-
Happy playing. Stay in the crucible please.
-
"Honestly, I rarely use heavy ammo". Seriously man?!
-
If you want to do good in the raid , then all raid gear is the best , if you want to r@pe in PVP then you have IB gear , DURRRR
-
I bought them Because my roll on raid gear gave me all strength. Now I'm a level 30 with 70% int 98% dic and 20% strength. Also lets be honest it looks cool and that may be the second best scout rifle in game behind VOC.
-
You forgot the number one reason. IB armor looks cooler.
-
still nothing for hc users.... sad guardian is sad... :(

Edited by Drake Jameson: 11/23/2014 7:29:49 PMDifference is: Someone with no life can only get the Iron Banner armor.
-
I used the Vision of Confluence but now that I unlocked the Fatebringer its going to be my new go to gun! The Icebreaker is meh I use Patience and Time. Also I prefer Corrective Measure to a Rocket Launcher.
-
Lol my set is scout or auto and random secondary I would use voc or ae for vog
-
The IB armour looks better and has better abilities, I'm sure the people who have spent countless hours in the raid would struggle to accept it but it's true
-
True except I prefer raid boots for extra heavy
-
Edited by iMoonchildi: 11/23/2014 7:49:58 PMyou realize raid pieces can have the same perks correct? it's randomized perks they aren't the same
-
My gauntlets reload special weapons faster. I like that more than just for Auto rifles.
-
Raid gloves help you reload specials faster, not heavies. Specials > Primary
-
The biggest reason I haven't purchased any is because they all have intellect on them. I like to run 0 intellect and the raid helm. (PVE)
-
Bahahahaha ok.
-
They both have their advantages and I don't think one is better than the other. That's why I decided to keep one of each. I have multiple sets maxed and use them accordingly to the situation at hand.
-
Best loadout for titan on hard mode VoC Praedyths revenge or praetorian foil(when I get it) Gjallahorn Raid head IB gauntlets (scout rifle reload) Armamentarium Raid legs Pretty sure most would agree with that
-
I got the gauntlets for faster reload for my scout & think the boots are pointless since raid boots carry more heavy.
-
Wait, since when does Vanguard rank cap at 15?
-
Yeah. Iron banner gear caters to scrub (auto rifles) I'm currently wearing the legs only because it give me maxed intellect and strength but we need other weapon perks... Handcannons primarily
-
What if one was to use a hand cannon? Bit of a silly asumption isn't it Remy?
-
My gauntlets let me reload special weapons faster. And in MP, I can grab up to four rockets instead of 2. Its almost impossible to run out of primary weapon ammo.
-
Aw Heck Obviously plays a lot of weekly nightfalls....
