Iron Banner - Rank 5 Then I'm Done
There is no teamwork involved. We are locked into control mode yet everyone is worried about k/d. I lost 4 matches recently as I was the only one worried about capturing points. I'd start to capture one while everyone on my team ignored this fact with their obsession with k/d, leaving me open to a gang -blam!- from the enemy.
Hit rank 4 earlier, about 3/4 left to hit 5 then I'm back to pve.
If only goldspiral didn't look so damn good.
EDIT: I'm tired of explaining myself to every negative comment so I'm putting my response here:
Everyone is missing my point. I've stated numerous times that if you capture at least 2 points and then defend both, running back between points, defending and getting kills you get bonus points for kills.
Got friends in on a team and we dominated several matches.
Hit rank 5 late last night, got everything I wanted. Will only return occassionally in hopes I get the glorious fabulous space bus.

3 RepliesI am soo fed up with IB. I am at the point if there are 2 players on my team 27 or lower I cap first point and quit. There were couple matches me level 29 and 1guy 28 rest were 25s 26s F That. Worst of all no one understands that if you cap two point and hold them the enemy keeps coming at you you get kills and hold points you WIN. Some maps are easier to hold middle depending which side you spawn on so first you need to cap there spawn then take the middle and don't cap there spawn point. It's not hard people use your brain.

I got to rank 4, bought the gauntlets because I can't get the raid gauntlets and I like these gauntlets better, and I'm going to keep going for good stuff like exotics, which isn't likely.

Not the best PVP either...but I think the loosing team should get nothing in PVP,only the winning team. Also..the things you try to achieve for your bounties in a match should only count if you win. Think that would make things more challenging and get the team focused on winning!

I understand your frustration completely. I've played to many games that ended in me asking myself why these guy are running between 3 points when the whole point of the game is to CONTROL THE DAMN FLOW OF THE GAME. But anyway, good to know I'm not the only person.

Recently started playing PvP more, mostly a PvE type, so I'm ok at it. I know to capture two zones and pin the other team down. I had a team recently that made me turn the PlayStation off. It felt like 5 on 1. They were blindly running into the enemy or camping where no one was at. I tried to capture 2 zones. Never worked. Got 29 kills and the next closes was in the low teens. Stat wise it was good for me but I want to win. Also hate seeing someone going for the third zone when we already control two.

1 ReplyIron banner with a Fireteam of 6 friends is not only a blast, but the only way to make decent progress, IMHO. I've gone in there by myself once, and it was a totally different (and unfun) experience. Take the time to put together a team of at least 4, and you'll notice a big difference. _Ohuigin

Stopped at rank 4. Couldn't handle being thrown in with a mess of people called a "team". Doing the SAME. EXACT. BOUNTIES. EVERY. DAY. No cycling of bounties was so stupid. Like hey let's make everyone use AR's EVEN MORE to get the auto headshot bounty. Suros. Everywhere. Doing the same map 4-5 times in a row because Bungie dropped the ball so. Damn. Hard with this game. Even though with Halo they basically perfected it. How do you go backwards from doing so well ?! Infinite amounts of lag, trade killing, not being able to kill someone when I should have. Capture points being in HORRIBLE SPOTS. Shores of Time. Don't even get me started. When the game chooses your spawn at the very beginning, basically chooses whether you win or not depending on how badly your team sucks. I'm strictly a PVE player, but the armor looks great. Especially on my titan. Being a PVE player and doing PVP on this game made me lose IQ from all the teabagging tryhards on this game. I they feel so good at life from being subpar at a video game that has such broken PVP. I thought COD was bad, this is a whole different story.

4 RepliesThis IB wasn't so bad, I was lvl 3 already so didn't take me long to get to 5, the last one was atrocious though but I managed to get it done and yeah don't go capture A if uve already got B and C u -blam!-ing noobs, way to go and -blam!- up the spawn points u -blam!-s...that's all I'm doing while playing the IB lol

Agree completely! It's hilarious watching people run directly to the fight and ignore the control point they should have stopped and controlled.

4 RepliesOn the mostly indoor map on Mars "B" stands for "blender." Everyone runs headlong into zone B and gets ripped to pieces. Again and again and again. It's so freaking stupid! Lock down A and C and let them come! "Oh no! They've got B! Let's feed them kills!"

1 ReplyYeah, KD is largely irrelevant in IB...someone has to make a push for control points and sitting in the back with your Suros doesn't help the team. Worse yet are the lvl 25s or less that come in and can practically be killed by a fly swatter doing the above....I'm rank 5 and -blam!-ing over IB

Holding two points is the best way to win. Having a good team also helps. You might want to try gathering your own team instead of playing with randoms. Teams that work together dominate.

Control needs one zone captured and held, two if you really want (you should have two but one steady and one fighting) then after that k/d is everything. Yes grenades melee post mortem heavy head shots all give you more damage but the basis it's kills. You get kills you get points you get deaths the other team gets points. If you just hold a and b and the other team holds c and doesnt move and you send in wave after wave of them killing you they will win in a landslide
