Ever since the update i have been getting non-stop errors and disconnects. Numerous Caterpillar and Hawk errors. I've gotten about 50 or so errors in the past three days than I've gotten since launch. I play for about 10-15 minutes then i get an error and get kicked to the TITLE screen. Not orbit. At random points i will be disconnected from xbox live. I'll dashboard and it'll auto sign in. The longest I've gone without an issue is about two hours. This is the only game I have issues with connecting. I've played other games for a few hours or just left my xbox on and ill have absolutely no issues.
I've cleared the cache numerous times. Deleted and recovered my profile. Deleted and redownloaded the update. Reset the modem. Changed the slot my internet cord is plugged into. Nothing works.
I'm 99.9% sure it is not an issue on my end. If it was on my end then other devices connected to the internet would be slow or sluggish, right? I just finished rewatching a stream with no buffering or errors while Destiny has quit on me numerous times in the two hour time span. My sister is in the next room (currently playing Destiny) and is having little to no errors and her xbox is connected the same exact way mine is.

I've has the same problem since Halloween, today I found a way so I can play Destiny without disconnecting every 5 minutes: 1) Open your router settings in a browser (for me it was 10.0.0.1) 2) Sign in (user name is usually Admin, password is usually password) 3) Advanced settings, DMZ, and type in the up address of your xbox (mine was 10.0.0.3) PS: I went to portforwarding and opened 3074 Hope this helps guys, I still can't play advanced warfare but Destiny is playable again :D

Edited by D0LLAH BILL: 11/22/2014 10:57:05 PMI have had this issue since after the very first update, it was sporadic and usually only bad on the "House of Devils" strike. The sound cuts out, the game gets laggy, then it freezes. I get a dirty disc error (I loaded Destiny onto the HDD and play it from there. 90% of the time this causes me to get booted to the dashboard. A few times I've been booted to orbit or the title screen. As of this week I have been booted to dashboard from the Weekly Strike (and the easy version) 7 times. Luckily the last three times I was playing with someone else and able to rejoin, but all three times were during the same strike. I really like this game, I've played it non-stop for weeks, I've purchased the season pass; but these issues are so irritating I don't know how long anyone will play. I have my network running through an Apple Airport Express, if there is anything I need to do to fix the issues could someone please let me know. #Networking #Help #DaFuq

I am experiencing this as well. It is nice to know I am not the only one with this problem.

I have experienced the exact same! Please get this fixed! It makes the game unplayable.

Edited by Viva_La_Nina: 11/21/2014 11:04:24 AMI'm having this issue as well. Glad to see I'm not the only one. I was thinking my xbox was broken. Everything was fine when I first got the update (on the 19th) and then a few hours after the update my xbox couldn't even connect to xbox live. When I can get it to connect it says some xbox live stuff is not available and gives me an error code (800705b4). Now when I try to play the game it tries to have me to do the update again and then gives me a different really long error code telling me to check my connection (417f-0000-d080-0200-8007-045d). I tried to go to xbox.com the night before last (the 19th) to look up the error code and I couldn't even connect to live through their website. Did a google search and saw xbox live had been down on the 18th (though I had no problems the 18th). So this had me thinking this was something on xbox's end and I just stayed offline for the night. The next day (the 20th) I was still having the same problems with my xbox, but I was able to sign onto xbox.com finally and tried to look up the long error code and of course it doesn't exist. On my xbox I could use absolutely nothing except for other games I had downloaded on the console that didn't require an internet connection. I couldn't use hulu, netflix, hbogo, and couldn't even look at my friends list or messages. If I looked and my FL or messages my xbox would completely freeze. I've deleted my cache several times, redownloaded my profile, removed and redownloaded my console updates, and removed the hard drive and then re-inserted it, reset my modem and router, NOTHING has worked. I did completely remove my hard drive late last night and powered it up to see how my xbox would connect to live then and it worked perfectly. I would have like to have tried to see how destiny would work but I don't have enough room on my memory unit to try it. I did however have enough room to try to see how hulu would work and everything functions and works perfectly without the hard drive in there. So I'm thinking this update completely messed up my hard drive or something. I just don't understand what is going on, but it is a relief to see that I am not the only one this has happened to. With the holidays coming up I don't have the money to send it in for a repair. Sooo not happy right now. I'm going to try calling xbox when I get off of work and see what they say. I will let you all know but keep me posted on anything you hear as well.

I just posted this over in the Destiny subreddit in hopes someone over there can help as well.

Yea so I was in a chat with xbox and the girl is trying to say my hard drive is bad, even though I can use anything coming from my hard drive unless it pertains to getting online. Saying I need to reformat it and lose everything. None of this happened until after the destiny update I got on the 19th. Doesn't make sense to me. So they are telling me to lose 200 GB of data. Yeaaa, nooo.

Same exact thing is happening to a friend of mine and I. Sometimes it lets you play for an hr or so, other times it disconnects every 5 minutes. It is VERY discouraging to know that this is a known issue amongst the community and Bungie just blames it on our internet. FIX YOUR GAME PLEASE.

In a desperate attempt to play the game, I deleted all the Destiny files on my harddrive (profiles and saves are on the Bungie servers and are tied to your account). I figured I'd start with a fresh install. Only disconnected once but then the rest downloaded fine. I came back afterwards and was able to play for 30 minutes or so. Then it disconnected me. I reconnect and it installs a 5gb file again (pretty sure its the one you installed the first time you played the game). I play for 5 minutes then it disconnects me again. I pressed "A" at the title screen and it gets hung up on "verifying content" and disconnects me. I reconnect and and it gets hung up on "verifying content" again. Disconnected again. I reconnect and head to dashboard to inspect the files and make sure everything is downloaded. Two compatibility packs and three content packs. I boot up Destiny and it installed the 5gb file again. Play for 5 minutes then it disconnects. Reconnect. Play 5 minutes then i get a HAWK error (first error of the day) and it kicks me to a black screen with no sound. After about a minute or two I went to dashboard and relaunch Destiny. It gets stuck on "verifying content" and disconnects me. I never got a warning or a "contacting Destiny servers" banner thing at the bottom.

half the time I cant get through 1 6v6 match of crucible before I get the bee error. Didn't have any issues until this patch.

I'm having the same problem on the ps4 so for bungie to keep saying it's all our internet that's broken is unbelievably wrong. The problem is definitely at bungies end. I've not been able to play destiny since Mondays update. Beyond a joke. I have posted on all different forums and still had no reply. Ignorance is clearly bliss for bungie.
