Hunter PvE class Idea

Here is an idea for a new hunter subclass. More then likely this type of class would have to be a PvE only class, or it could throw off balance in PvP. I have an Idea for a PvE only Titan class (Medic) that works similar to defender, but is focused on healing and buffing team mates and less focused on shielding. The Medic would be solar and would have a skill that grants solar damage to all team mates. I might add that as an edit to this post or start a new one in the future if this turns out to be popular. I haven't used warlocks enough to come up with a good idea for them, but it would obviously be arc based and give an arc buff to all team mates. Does this type of PvE only appeal to you? Let me know what you think. Hunter Subclass: Sniper (Void Subclass) The scariest thing about being near someone who's seen this much death is not how they unflichingly kill enemies from afar with their snipers, or even how they kill an entire base by calmly walking behind legionaries and cutting their throats. The scariest part is how you find yourself laughing and enjoying the slaughter right beside them. Row 1: Grenades 1. Tripmine 2. Blinding Gel - Enemies caught in the grenade's explosion are temporarily blinded. The effect is increased for enemies that have the grenade stuck to them. (A sticky version of the Titatn's Fash-bang.) 3. Escape Plan- Throw an area of effect grenade that has high knock back but low damage. Row 2: Double Jump Extra Height Triple Jump Blink Row 3: Assassinate- Increase precision damage, range, stability and add void type damage to currently equipped scout rifle, hand cannon, pulse rifle or sniper rifle. The effect lasts until the current weapon is reloaded or changed. Unflinching Mind- Health automatically regenerates after each kill while Assassinate perk is active. Calm Mind- Assassinate is replaced by a timer. For the duration of the timer you are invisible and Cut Throat ability automatically replenishes after each kill. Deranged Mind- All allies are granted Assassinate perk to any equipped weapon except for Heavy Machine Guns. Row 4: Cut Throat- One hit kill unshielded non-major non-ultra enemies when attacked from behind. (This would OHK dreg and vandal level enemies.) Sever the Head- Kill higher level enemies with the Cut Throat ability (This would kill unshielded captain/knight level enemies) Ultra Down- Also kill low level majors and ultras (IE: Dreg and Vandal Majors/Ultras) Shield Breaker - Cut Throat ability can now be preformed on shielded enemies but will not kill higher level enemies but can take down their shields. Row 5: Stat Boosts (to be honest these are kind of the least interesting, so I'll just skip them.) Row 6: Resourceful - Increase the amount of primary and secondary ammo received from ammo pick-ups. Greedy- Increase the amount of glimmer received by killing majors and ultras. Also receive more glimmer from consumables. Professional - Precision kills increase Precision Damage for a short time (6 seconds timer maybe). Stacks up to 3 times. Row 7: Stat Boosts (to be honest these are kind of the least interesting, so I'll just skip them.) Row 8 Mental Fortification - Increase the bonuses gained by Assassinate Skill. Insurance - Increase the duration of the Trapmine and Escape plan. Also increase the duration of the effect of Blinding Gel Walking between the Raindrops- Using the Cut Throat ability causes you to become invisible for a short time. Edit: Quick spelling fix. Edit1: Changed the Deranged Mind perk to be more useful for team mates.

  • Extremely overpowered but it does sound fun.

    • There's a serious several problems with this idea for several reasons. 1: you picked and chose the best skills from the previous subclasses and even other classes to make the class even better, removing the need to ever use any other subclass. For example, you gave this class the specialty jump booster of BOTH hunter subclasses, as well as the most commonly used booster of both as well. Additionally, you grabbed a specialty grenade off Gunslinger AND the Titan's subclass. 2: There is an extremely low amount of actual originality, to the point that half the class's "Specialty" weapons, and even the JOB of the subclass is directly ripped from Gunslinger, with spliced in boosters from Bladedancer to, again, make the class even stronger. 3: The class is too directly based on doing something another class of the Hunter does better anyway, which is cranking out critical hits and kills, but tailored specifically to your specific playstyle. If you want my honest opinion, the supposed Trapper subclass does Hunter's void class much better than this mess, due to its originality and actually being the only class based on causing debuffs and punishing enemies for getting in range and allowing the hunter a specialized niche in the combat spectrum that is honestly very unique, and the entire reason I'm working on a hunter myself. Overall rating for this Sniper class: 2/10 see me after class.

      • Idk. I like the thought of a knock back grenade though.

Sorry but their is multiple flaws with this idea. First: each class has to have 2 offensive and 1 support (not killing) class Second: is they already have a third subclass for Hunter already planned. Third: the Super has to be something every person can use, not just scout rifle, hand cannon, pulse rifle or sniper rifle users.
