There is something about Destiny...

It took a while to finally discover what it is, but now it is clear; Destiny is a drug. Now I understand why players who have not touched the game in weeks are constantly coming on the forums and ranting about it. The game had them addicted, but they could not stop even though they wanted to. The game is a bad product, with bad effects, but WOW does it produce a high unlike any game ever made. This game is so addicting the average player has at least 100+ hours on it; AT THE LEAST; that is a play-through of Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 COMBINED(At about 30 hours a game). When people on the forums are describing how they have brand-new, unwrapped games sitting to the side because they cannot get enough of Destiny, you know there is something serious happening. I honestly believe Bungie made a deal with Satan for the the game to be this effective. This game performs in the same avenue as gambling(actually with RnG, it is gambling). It gives you a small sense of satisfaction that keeps you coming back, because though you never really win, it makes you feel a little bit closer to the goal your shooting for. So to all you die-hards out there. I believe the reason you are receiving so much criticism for continuing to play this game is, mostly, not that we ridicule you guys, but we LOVE you. We know you guys are addicted like we were. You think your having fun, but it is really just the high from all the grinding your doing. It is like watching the neighborhood loser selling drugs at the playground to your little brother or sister. We can see what they are trying to do you, and it drives us up the wall, and it pains us cause, honestly, you guys can't see it right now. I know many of you are constantly going through withdrawals, which is why you keep playing. A guy on my friends list with 150+ hours told me he sold his copy and broke all his items down to keep himself from coming back. He is playing GTAV, but says he is still having withdrawals. I myself have recently ticked over 230 hours played. I know some of you guys have even broken the 600+ hour mark, which is just INSANE; your bodies have to be in pain from being pushed to stay up and play. I pray that you guys that are hard on Destiny will start to reject it before you crack 1000 hours. For an idea of just how much time that is: There are multiple people on my friends list with 450 hours played. If you got a part-time job at Gamestop instead of playing Destiny you would have (450 hours @ $10/hr) $4500. My football coach told me "When it starts to feel like work, and is not fun anymore, it is time to quit." P.S. I just destroyed all my exotic and legendary gear on my 29 hunter and 28 warlock. #PutUpOrShutUp
