2 RepliesAll credibility is lost when you find out how many Mythoclasts and 30s there are from people who never even beat Atheon or the Templar's legitimately. Ohh boy have I experienced being paired up with people like that. I had to leave the fireteam shaking my head.

1 ReplyI'll get 30 through the IB boots as well. But I've ran the raid many times and I have experience with the relic. Why should someone be rewarded for good luck in the raid? I know many 30s that aren't near as good at the raid as I am, and I am a level below them. They got lucky enough to get level 30... They don't need any more rewarding.

I've done the raid multiple times all I was missing was raid gauntlets then IB came out then i replaced everything that I could with IB stuff since the crucible is my forte over exploring stuff in the open world plus I just enjoy PvP in destiny over regular PvE and the IB gear looks really fancy

No one cares, get ur gear and shut up that's all ppl need to do. It don't fracken matter how. And to say some are more experience ur wrong. I played against 30s with raid gear in the IB and they sucked and I played with 30s in the raid and they suck. So don't matter ur gear or how u got it if u suck u suck. And if ur good then ur good.

7 RepliesI don't really attack people here anymore, but I'll make an exception. Shut the (insert four random letters here) up. All I'm hearing here is how you seem to be personally offended at how a special event is allowing players to hit 30. How about you explain to me how raiding x number of times is the only way I can be considered a "real 30". I suppose I should appologize for having things to do in the real world, and not having 7+ hours in one sitting trying to find a party (because not all of us have the benifit of apparently knowing everbody else who raids all elite like and whatnot) and fumbling through the whole thing losing interest in doing so at an exponential rate. So tell me, mr. Holier than thou, why this particular set of armor instantly discredits anything and everything a player can do in the game up to the point of hitting 30 and should be labeled as a "fake 30". Take your elitist garbage to CoD. It's not wanted here.

3 RepliesI like using the shield but people always try and pull the "your only 29" fact is it's fun to play with I got good with it and just had bad drop luck (only 3 pairs of boots) but I actually like the look of the iron banner gear and look forward to one day wearing a full set for aesthetic purposes (I want a wolf helm for Titan with it though lol)

1 ReplyIt's just luck. My first Hard Atheon clear I got Vex and Helm. I got boots and chest off ONE templar drop... I got gloves off templar on the following week. I don't think level is indicative of anything, and honestly all the bitching about IB armor is so tired.

Is there away you can check someone's RAID level I think if they are at least a tear two you can count on them for every position.

13 RepliesI have to somewhat agree here. PvP players can just "buy" their way to level 30 while us PvE players have to bust our arse to achieve this. A tad bit unfair. Just my opinion.

I did the same. I was 29 forever then got the IB boots and ran the raid last night for the first time as a 30. Then what do you know I got my boots from the Templar so I now have a full set of raid gear. Just keep grinding it will happen. When you least expect it and sometimes ironically

9 RepliesI feel ya on most of this. The initial trust for 30s in raid groups will go down. They'll be a whole new class of kids who can't help a group through the rough parts of the raid. BUT they did put a lot of time into getting rank 3/4 in IB (albeit in a short amount of time) and still need at least one piece of raid gear to hit the 30 mark and join the Master Race. The way I see it, it'll cause people looking for help with raids to be more vigilant with whom they recruit. (I have a long drawn out, unfeasible idea on how to avoid the confusion that involves players having two levels. One in PvE and one in PvP.) Everyone deserves an out to get to 30, and as happy as I am there's a second way to do it now, it is going to muddy up the picture on who can perform certain tasks, since not everyone walking around as a 30 has the same resume now. Personally, I'd like to see a way to get it with faction armor. But I'd also like for the factions to function as more than a cosmetic shop.

I plan on wearing the Iron Banner armor with my astrolord helmet because I think it looks cooler, switching to my raid helmet only when I actually need to be 30. Does that mean I'm not a "real 30"? Just because I think the raid gear looks ugly? Besides, you yourself said that people can get really lucky with this RNG. What if they get carried once or twice and get blessed with a full set? Are they a "real 30"? I'm not saying your idea is bad, just that recognition shouldn't be something you have to wear or something that you can get at random while someone who did just as much, or even more than you, gets screwed just because they weren't lucky.

The best way to say this...is that most of the 'real' level 30's are the equivalent to the Inheritors in Reach were they are just a bunch of worthless virgins kicking the bucket because they won't have the amount of Attention they use to get when they were "popular"

A 30 is a 30 who cares how end of topic and who cares about haters this game has the worst community but the games awsome. Ignore everyone hit 30 have fun ignore the poor hating guys that get owned all the time and blame glitchs and fake 30s and whatever else to make themselfs feel better
