As many of us know, "Crota's End" is a raid scheduled for release soon after "The Dark Below" expansion drops on December 9. Being a typical Destiny player, I decided to wallbreach into the raid using my S-10V and followed a YouTube tutorial on how to jump over invisible walls and then jump through some halfway pixelated rocks to get into the raid. I brought three of my friends into the raid just in case things hit the fan. We managed to beat the raid in a little over an hour with three sunsingers, one titan and a lot of grenades and heavy ammo syntheses.
These are the steps to the raid and how we beat them:
Step 1, opening the first gate
- After entering, there is a large Hive-like gate (similar to the one at the Temple of Crota)
- There were three circles, outlined by dark markings with a mini-platform in the middle
- We stood on them and darkness started to form around the circles, rising up about 5' off the ground and leveling out to form a half-cylinder
- As we stood on the platforms, acolytes came in waves, followed by a hallowed ogre periodically
- The cylinder of darkness around the platform went away every time the ogre forced us out of it
- As we stood on the platforms, a notification appeared on the bottom right of the corner our screen: "Spire is forming"
- After about 20 minutes of shooting shit, the spire shot a light! And it went right into the gate! And then it opened and we got in!
Part 2, summoning the Doorkeeper
- We navigated into the raid, grabbing a chest which appeared right before a corridor leading to a platform with an open area on the right, middle and left, with a small set of stairs in the middle and a circle at the bottom of the stairs which was glowing with light
- We jumped down and it said: "Defend the pillars" and one popped up in the middle, towards the back
- As we started killing more shit, yellow exploding thralls called "Maniacs" came sprinting up the stairs and EXLODING on us, leaving a blue circle of ooze which made us disoriented if we came in contact
- Luckily for us there was a small outlet in the wall on the left side which we were able to jump into and avoid the Maniacs
- We repeated this with one pillar at each phase, up to three at once!
Step 3, killing the Horacles
- After the three pillars were successfully defended, it showed another notification: "Kill the Horacles" and some low keys started playing, sounded like a piano!
- Horacles started appearing in 7 different places
- After 3728 waves we finished the phase and got rewards, consisting of 3 ascendant shards and one energy
Step 4, the Doorkeeper
- An item appeared at the bottom of the stairs that looked like a shield?!
- As soon as someone grabbed it, the Doorkeeper appeared! It looked just like an ogre, but it had a full shield around it, like a Hive knight!!!
- Warlocks took the lead and activated radiance, goodbye Doorkeeper
- We all danced and waved at nothing as the Doorkeeper fell to it's death
- Another reward phase, I got a Hive pulse rifle this time!
- I dismantled it because all pulse rifles are garbage
Part 4, navigating the Horgon's maze
- We came across a chest in that outlet that we hid in!
- We got 3 helium filaments each, WTF?
- That outlet lead us to a HUGE drop-off, WTF?
- We fell a bunch
- Fell some more
- Falling
- Falling
- Almost died falling
- Made it to the bottom and came across ANOTHER chest, we better not get helium this time...
- Opened the chest and got a titan mark called Dark of the Great Prism! My current one from the VoG looks similar to it- wow!
- My friend got an exotic Hive hand cannon called Thorn! I've never heard of it so it must be a raid weapon!!!!
- As we traveled further down, we saw black harpies floating around the area!
- One of the warlocks decided it would be a good idea to sprint past them, bad idea
- He got spotted and a notification appeared on everyone's screen again: "Horgon's Gaze" and we all dropped faster than flies on a fat guy's Big Mac
- After a lot of crouching, sliding sprinting, we managed to climb up a rock into a safe area and jump onto another rock right across from that rock!! Crazy!!!!
- We got past the maze through a hole in the wall and got to a HUGE area called "Destiny's Story." It was a gigantic hole with absolutely nothing in it and a huge drop which could easily kill a guardian
- Floating platforms appeared! They stayed active for about 5 seconds and then a different one appeared!
- I came up with an amazing idea right then- an idea which would revolutionize raiding for generations to come!
- My idea: Why not just jump all the way across?
- I had to take the risk this time and be my own test subject, if my hypothesis was correct then jumping off, falling, jumping a little, and shoulder charging right before hitting the other platform would allow me to successfully land safely
- IT WORKED!!!!!!
- I watched as the warlocks effortlessly glided across, their bathrobes blowing in the breeze
Step 5, summoning Crota
- As we entered, there was a Doorkeeper in the center on the room and many ascendant acolytes and thralls around the map
- There were two of those circles with platforms in this room, like from the beginning!!!
- We decided to not enter the room but the door opened for us anyways, cool!
- We all shot the Doorkeeper with our Ice Breakers and watched it die in a pool of solar damage
- One person went into each portal that appeared when we stood on the platforms
- This parts boring so I'll skip it
Part 6, killing Crota
- We all gathered in the back by the door as we witnessed Crota appear!
- He started to fire it's Hive boomer at the back and killed one of us and then the warlocks ran up and made it aggro towards them, back up the stairs
- The warlocks activated radiance and started throwing solar grenades at it!
- Who would've guessed that it would walk backwards off of its OWN platform!!!!!!!

Reported for spoilers. -.-
