Do you respect Iron Banner Armor as much as Raid armor? Sound off, and explain why.

Raid gear means what almost everything else in this game means- you played, you got lucky, end of story. Iron Banner gear represents that you put some serious effort into climbing towards a goal. In my opinion Destiny should have more things following this trend, not the other way around.

30 is 30 and if you care otherwise you need to stop playing games and slap your mother for bringing up a retard
-
Wish the body armor was available. It's the only bit of armor from it I like. I'm a warlock by the way...
-
Lol @ respecting armor
-
Well I have gotten all raid gear leveled already so I wanna level up even more armor! Plus the iron banner armor looks awesome so I wear iron banner armor plus the iron banner armor caters more to my scout rifle play as a hunter
-
How is this even a topic if discussion, you can hit 30 without doing the hard raid you just need an exotic hat. I think its harder to hit 30 in IB personally, because you actually need to win. You cant cheese oracles and templar lawl

The underlying motive in your question is also one of questioning the respectability of those of who wear those armors. By making one of the armors "disrespected," you are in fact making an image about them, and that image cannot distinguish the wearer from the worn - it is after all, a lifeless image - thus, it will associate and judge those who wear them based on the content of the image. Do you follow? So, to be frank, I really don't care what armor, guns, or other equipment people choose to use. That's not any of my business. On another note, the more I read on this forum the more it seems that we are always looking for petty, meaningless things to create problems and mischief out of, and the fearful respect and therefore destructive motive which underlies your question will only, inevitably, serve to widen the chasm between people and breed more disdain, more hatred, and yet more childish drama, intrigue, and non-sensical issues. But if that is what's desired, that's quite alright.

Still nerds
-
Why do you ppl care...
-
Do you take less damage as a 30 depending on where your armor is from? Is there any difference other than perks? No? Oh, then I guess 30 is 30.
-
You actually have to work for iron banner...

Edited by jacaluck85: 11/21/2014 2:52:47 PMIB is no joke. Try as you might to argue that you don't have to try but good luck winning if even 1 other person on the team has that mentality, and winning consistently shaves hours of earning rank 4. Last night I decided I was going to get rank 3 no matter what. No breaks, it too approximately 7-7.5 hours (just from 2-3) and that was winning a majority of the time. Damn I sucked ass by the end though, totally burnt out and couldn't buy a win if I wanted to. So yeah...I earned those boots and I'll be saying the same thing when I get the gloves :-D
-
i can't respect iron banner gear its just ugly& plain but i will not complain about it because i was pro alternative ways to reach level 30.as a matter of fact imma play some iron banner when i get home reach rank for get the warlock gauntlets and hit the raid on hard for warlock gear
-
Both get you to lvl 30 raid gear can be luck or a grind just like IB is I'm 29 one piece away from 30 and the IB doesn't sell it I'm not complaining just saying keep it up guardians
-
I chezed Atheon 47 tymz n irnd mi geer, bruh. IB nubz iz skrebz. Y u no 1337?
-
I like the raid boots better because you can carry more heavy ammo, other than that 30 is 30
-
Edited by ausher: 11/21/2014 3:07:14 PMI got full raid gear already. I plan on getting to rep 5 ib this weekend. My strategy is just to run really fast and capture flags. I wish getting raid gear was that easy.... If IB was a free for all then it would take skill....
-
In my experience, it's been just as hard leveling up Iron Banner as it has been waiting a week to roll the RNG dice in the raid. Not much o a PVP player, so Crucible is always a challenge for me. In conclusion, 30 is 30, and they're equally respectable.

-
I'm already level 30 but I'm getting the boots and gauntlets because they look a lot cooler
-
Yes. However max respect goes to anyone with the hard raid helm. You can't beat it.
-
lol, the fact the some voted no...wow Must be the same idiots who make topics "I earned my xur shit!!!!!!"
-
Hell YES. I made 30 in raid. But Iron banner is PVP. You don't shoot Dumb AI. Sure sometimes you shoot dumb ass players, but overall you can't compare difficulty curve. PVP > PVE. Way harder pvp. At lv30 raid on hard gets easy cause that damage debuff is gone. AT lv 30 in pvp your never safe.

I have all raid armour on 3 charectors. Only thing i dont have is chest gor titan but hunter warlock have 4 each. I been playing iron banner just to get a few more choices in the gear im wearing. I have 50 completion in raid and honestly just got lucky with gear drops. I know people that have just as many runs under belt and still arent 30 . Im glad they gave the people getting screwed by rng a way to get 30. Helps alot when the whole raid group can do more damage and take a lil more . Honestly u have to earn iron banner gear more than raid gear. U can get a whole set on 1 run if ur lucky. With ib u have to grind ur rep and save ur glimmer just to buy 1 peice . Then grind some more for the other. 30 really is just a number and in no way represents anyones skill
-
Lol respect in a VideoGame? So I need to start getting armor from both the raid and IB to get everyone's respect I guess :p
-
So we got a new breed of "earners" The xurners and the
saladearners
