It depends on what you mean by stronger? I liked Hawkmoon for PvE. The Last Word I used in crucible all the time. Hawkmoon definitely is stronger in terms of damage per shot, Last Word had rate of fire. The rate of fire and reload time kill Last Word for PvE imo. It's not efficient as far as ammo. Hawkmoon is definitely useable in crucible, it's arguably better in fact, especially at range. Thorn isn't bad in crucible once it's leveled up and gets damage over time. Turns it into a two shot weapon, sometimes one if it's the last round in the magazine . It's small magazine and reload time hurt it a bit, but can be overcome with a hunter and precision shooting, but are the biggest drawbacks to it. All of the legendary handcannons are pretty good as well.
