I think there should be a trading system implemented into Destiny to make the game more interesting.
Here are a couple idea's:
[b][u]Player to Player Trading[/u][/b]: Player to player trading is where the player will trade an item of equal rarity to the other player(Exotic-Exotic, Legendary-Legendary). The reason there is a equal rarity swap is so that no player feels like they have gotten the raw end of the deal. One player will put the weapon they would like to trade into a window(or request bar) and so will the other player. If both players agree with what they will be trading with each other, they will click an accept button. Once both players have clicked the accept button the trade will happen. There is no cost to trade, only the cost of your item(s) for another(s).
[b][u]Trading vendor[/u][/b]: The trading vendor will be a vendor like Xur that comes to the tower at a specific time in the week for a certain time limit(Could be a event). You can choose an item from the vendor of equal rarity to the weapon you want to swap out for(Vendor has all items(Legendary and Exotic only) except raid and bounty items), but at an additional cost. Weapon trades with the vendor will cost 10 strange coins and armor trades with the vendor will cost 10 motes of light.

I'm starting to see all of these comments, and I think that most of you did not properly read the OP. This trading system requires both players to have equal value weapons/armor, therefore there is no way for a non level 20 to get an exotic piece from a high level player, unless they already have an exotic piece, in which case RNGesus clearly favors that person. This trading system harbors no threat to the balance of the game.

The main problem with trading is this Casual Gamer:"hey I want the Ghallahorn and hunter raid gear,anyone want to trade?" Grinding Gamer:"I'll trade but only if you pay me." Casual Gamer:" I guess so." Casual gamer reaches 30 in a day, so to keep up, his friends pay to get gear, then everyone else does also Destiny goes like this: RPGish -->Pay-to-Win

The only way this could work is if you make so it is only within your fire team on gear you just earned.

Personally I would try selling my things to people through the internet if there was trading. I'm sure some people out there would want to cheat the game like that. Which is why I have to say no player to player trading. Vendor trading is intriguing, however.

Trading would be an ok idea, as long as they would HAVE to be the same value before you make the trade, otherwise it ruins the game

Atleast it will bring some sort of joy and appreciation to players in Destiny. Plenty of games have an effective trading system. For Ex, EVE Online:Plenty of trading and nothing wrong with it.

I like the idea! My friend I have done the raid several times together and I keep getting duplicate gear drops that I don't need(ie same gloves). As long as the gear is of equal value like raid gear for raid gear,yellows for yellows there should be no problem with saying you didn't earn it(who cares anyway it's a video game). I doubt Bungie would go for this they want you to grind for hours upon hours to get gear that's how the keep you playing the same shit over and over.

NOTE: there needs to be more things that can be bought using glimmer in order for this to work.

2 RepliesNo no no. Will ruin game. I like earning my stuff. Why would u release player trade 3+ months after release. All ppl who earned everything the majority and i myself included ould quit. U cant have player trade with a rng loot table and expect items to be unique and exotic. Rarity comes with its draw backs gentlemen. Suck it up and earn ur shit like everyone else. This is why mp is like non other.

I think they should allow trading but not armor trading cause then lv 20s can get gear from there friends and be instantly 30

The vendor is interesting, though i think it should make use of motes of light and not strange c. Great idea! I'd otherwise love to have a system for GIVING within clans.

It would be good to have trading in the game but only in exchange for stuff of equal value like raid gear from vog for vog gear or exotic for exotic as a friend of mine has the icebreaker 3x but I want it but all I have is super good advise he has not so I would like to trade him for one of his icebreakers and I know my gun is rubies but at least he will get one at least and I get the icebreaker.

2 RepliesI would love to be able to trade, because what if you and your friend got something from a mission that you didn't want and your friend did. You would have to discard it and your friend would be mad.
