Which gen was your favorite? And if you wish post what game of that gen was your favorite and why.
Mine is 2nd gen because i played silver the most when i was younger and it has a big nostalgic effect on me :)
note: This is only for the first 3 gens because i never really played much of the newer ones and don't know much about them.
edit: i know that fire red and leaf green came out in 3rd gen but i count it as 1st because they are just remakes of the original

I only ever played the first red & blue. By the time the others were out I was kinda over it. These days though I'd probably pick up a gb advance or something I rock a Pokemon while sitting in traffic. Are the gen 2 ones good? Same type of deal as the first?

This kinda nostalgia makes me wanna cry #pokelife
-
Diamond pearl?
-
Gold remastered was the greatest Pokemon game ever made.
-
IDK if it counts, but the only Pokemon game I played with any regularity was Pokemon Stadium on the Nintendo 64. I was one of those contrarian kids who hated Pokemon because every other kid loved it, but that game converted me.

Edited by Lander: 10/29/2015 2:47:10 AMFire Red was my first.. I can still play it now :L I like the new games but there's no challenge at all in regards to battles. I remember having to spend hours grinding my level higher before I took on the Kanto Elite 4, in the new games I can just waltz on in :L still quite like them.. And if anyone has managed to legitimately collect all 700+ Pokémon.. :L

I remember when Pokemon was actually hard and not the bs you see today
-
When I was a kid, I was completely mind blown that after beating the Johto league, after what seemed like the end credits, that I was able to cross over to Kanto and basically do the entire red/blue game afterwards.

How can fire red and leaf green count as gen 1 when they're completely different than gen 1 mechanically?
-
3rd gen was definitely my least favorite of any Pokemon.
-
3rd gen was my favorite of all
-
Sapphire was the shit.
-
Sapphire was my childhood
-
I'm part of the third gen Gave away my Pokemon emerald tho
-
I started on 3rd gen do I don't have much experience with 1 or 2, but I quit gen 1 before Brock because I got so bored.
-
Fourth gen was awesome.
-
3rd gen
-
Platinum or Emerald
-
Bruh.. I loved them all. Probably logged more time into emerald or crystal just exploring and having fun. Now Pokemon games are shit
-
Pokemon black! Look it up on YouTube......
-
My favorite is Pokemon yellow
-
Pokemon Pearl was the first one I played
-
At the end of crystal/gold when u complete Kanto u face off against your character from red/blue on top of a mountain but blue has an island where you can buy masterballs

Gold and silver were awesome because after getting the first 8 badges, you have ALL of Kanto to explore with the original 8 gym leaders to get badges from. On top of it just being awesome to go back and explore the land of red/blue/green/yellow, you also get an epic final boss battle against Red, a second, IMPROVED elite 4 fight, and so many new places to explore. It's amazing. Really really awesome. <3~~Shino Asada~~<3

Gold and silver. I had all the 1st and 2nd gen pokemans legit on my old gold version. Even a real mew I ported over from red, back then my friend actually got a real one from a event in NY. Remember being so bummed about not being able to transfer my gold poke to 3rd gen.

3rd gen was the best.
