Please explain to me
why do people even use shotguns?, more often than not they're either camping around corners or running face first into players but 80% of the time they go either negative or Meh in match, i dont get it, theyre dying 2 to 3 times more often from using them than any other weapon class so why use them?

I find it to be fun personally. Running around trying to get up close and personal and just owning people who don't see it coming is a delightful feeling. I'd rather charge in and kill a couple people and die than just sit back and pick people off to save my k/d.

It depends on the gametype. Shotguns are just fine in Control because you are playing an objective and not just killing. In Control, the shotgun wielders are your top players because of their skill in CQC at control points by either using a Shotgun or Fusion. A Warlock's Blink + Auto Shotgun is a mean combo.
