With over 1,200 games and good stats, I know the solution to ridding RNG and making it better for everyone! Here's my proposal, with an explanation following. [b]1)[/b] Rid RNG from the Crucible rewards completely. Instead, give 20% more XP towards factions, such as your Crucible Quartermaster. Let's be honest anyways guys. I've played 1,200 games and have only gotten 2 exotics and a handful of legendaries. If you want to get exotics this isn't the correct way to do it. The right way to do it is by giving more XP to your crucible factions so that you may get your legendary packages. You get your gear from time played, not RNG. That seems a lot more fair. [b]2)[/b] Add a ranking system for Crucible, and a competitive ranking system. Use our existing games played to calculate our ranks, don't make our games we've already played mean nothing. We want to be working in matchmaking for a reason! Not just to play it. I play 1,200 games and for what? 2 exotics? No Bungie. It's not that fun to run into laggy-shotgun-infested heaven. Please add a reason for us to play. A ranking system for time played, and a competitive ranking system which pairs you up against other similarly skilled players. 95% of the time my team of 6 never faces other players on our skill level. We want fair matches, please. [b]3) [/b]Make groups search other groups. This is needed heavily. I always run in a team of 6, It's not wrong to do so. It's just frowned upon because we always get 6 lone wolves on the other team who can't compete with an organized team all getting heavy ammo versus 1 on their team. [b]4)[/b] Make a penalty to quitters. Either do this by punishing their competitive skill rank (so higher competitive rank players don't have to deal with quitters) or by giving the players a coin in their inventory if they lose which can be redeemed for 2x the points the next time they win a game. This system is in Iron banner, but it should be in all playlists. [b]5)[/b] No joining sessions in progress in FFA. It's annoying to join a session you're already 1,600 down in. It gives the players a very, very slim chance to catch up and win, and in some cases it's downright not possible. It's demoralizing, don't allow join-in-sessions for FFA. Keep it between the initial players in the game only. In general there should be an option which says "Never join sessions-in-progress" * Bonus * Add map voting!

  • my opinions ... by no means am i close to being amazing at PVP but... 1) Feel your pain but everything in Destiny is RNG. We can not just cater to PVP players. Maybe take the rewards out completely. But i do like the increase in Xp idea. 2) Like it except maybe have the ranking system reset every 3 months so that players who are getting better are not being held back by what they once were. 3) Perfect. 4) Do not penalize quitters as some may have legitimate reasons for leaving. But love the idea of implicating the iron banner coin system into all of crucible. 5) I agree with but do not see a way around. The guys trying to 3 v 6 need more people to as to avoid getting destroyed ... this could lead to a team of four or three just hiding once some people leace.

      I think the RNG definitly needs reworking for crucible. You can play for 5 or 6 hours and get nothing of note bar a sprinkling of blue engrams - woop! I very rarely see anything good drop for me or any of my team for that matter. It would be nice if comng top of a winning or losing team offered a a slightly better chance of a drop - even if just 10-20% better chance. Likewise coming bottom should guarantee you get nothing in my opinion - this would ensure all players tried harder (even on a lost cause) so they dont get bottom spot. People quitting games after the first 5 minutes should receive a reputation loss IMHO. An option to remove the dreaded vehicle maps from the playlist would be high on my list. Far too many people quit out of those maps so games end up being unbalanced. The vehicles are so OP that they ruin any gunplay. And the maps are just too big for 6 v 6. I am sure I am not the only one who groans when the loading screen indicates one of them maps is coming next. They just suck ass so, so bad. Gun balancing still needs some work too. Starting to see a huge increase in fusion rifles being used and I dont know about anyone else but I find the games when dominated by fusions (much like shotguns) just become hugely tedious and no fun. I dont mind losing but one hit kill fusion shots from a plan C get a little tiresome after a while, as does the incesant sound of fusion rifles being charged all over the map. At least with shotguns you can keep a distance. I personally think the charge time of some fusions needs re-examining. Fire teams of 3 or more players should be paired against other sized fireteams. I never see this happening at the moment. Everytime I check the lineups after an unusually unbalanced game its a fireteam of 3+ players versus a bunch of single players who simpy cant compete properly.

          • 1. give everyone on the WINNING team loot, it's still RNG, and the top 1 or 2 player(s) on the losing team depending on the game mode. Top 1 in skirmish and only the winner in FFA 4. Just add a probation system. Quit 5 matches within 1-2 hours your banned for 12 hours. There needs to be a leeway in case someone just has bad luck or gets pulled away a few times. 5 is enough. The punishment pretty much means your done for the day. Try again tomorrow.

            • I would agree with this, however, with the server issues being what they are currently, a lot of the people 'quitting' are actually getting DC'd. And I don't mind getting dropped on to a team that's losing. The matches aren't unbearably long and the teams will be reshuffled at the end most likely anyways (excluding full fireteams)

            • Nothing worse than arriving half way through accrucible match, finding everyone on your side has left and you are 10,000 points behind facing a group/clan of 6 players and getting your arse handed to you. Can't blame anyone for quitting in that situation and trying to find a fresh game. Don't see why they should be penalised for that.
