New Tower in the Reef- Would like Bungie opinion if possible
Please note I am already aware of the reddit post about the reef and would urge feedback or to just get bungie to see this.
Just an Idea, please read
I was thinking of adding a new but different tower in the reef, maybe for free, maybe in the HoW expansion to satisfy the wolves known as activision.
It would be VERY different though in several ways.
Gear and Weapons
You could buy whole different variations of weapons like a version of the vandal sniper or maybe the cannon the captains use since there are friendly fallen in The Reef as well. Instead of the usual secondary weapons, we could maybe get new ones like swords. Armor may not change to much but it could give a new ranking system like Light, maybe Seniority? This would not be to much work, Bungie would just need to repurpose some of the alien weapons for guardians to use.
Vendors
There should NOT be any vendors using Crucible or Vanguard Marks. Instead, all these vendors will use large amounts of glimmer. This will actually make people try to save up glimmer late game. The two currencies that should be used are Glimmer and Motes of Light. Motes of Light, like glimmer serve little purpose on the tower, but in the Reef, light may be rare and thus glimmer and Motes could be valued more.
Sparrow Racing
Everyone has wanted sparrow racing, but in the Earth Tower, that is not feasible due to lack of land, but the reef has a whole plethora of asteroids ready to raced on. Each asteroid could be like a different stages linked together by portals.
New Alien Vehicles
We could get alien mods or whole alien sparrows, this could further increase variety in Sparrow Racing. It would be cool to get an alien shipwright. Even cooler loading screen filler like a ship with fallen engines.
PvEVP
Perhaps a PvEvP where perhaps the reef awoken or the house of wolves captains engage you in a crucible like arena with 2 additional guardian teams as well.
Please add more ideas, and get this post noticed people.

Edit 2: This can also be like an outpost on a reef patrol, im not sure. Tower is the best comparison word so i am using that

1 ReplyI was thinking the same way, but differently of course. I was considering a type of level for Guardians to be able to access the "Tower" (Hub) in the Reef or maybe must complete the story or have went through the cutscenes at some part of the story within meeting the Queen. Example: Must be Level 15-20 to go to this place. I still don't like how the Reef location mocks me, mocks all of us that we're not able to use it at all except for a cutscene and for DLC purposes. It's just there, with no access. I would consider Vendors that subside within the Awoken race (and some of the occasional strangers that lurk within), such as the Queen's emissary to sell Queen's Guard gear and weapons, not sure as much as the selling and usage of enemy weapons (even though there are so many and have their own classification in the Grimoire) *Even though in Halo we were able to use all or perhaps most weapons. Currency I could agree with. Sparrow Racing would be a stretch, it would depend on the type of Sparrow you had ranging from Common-Legendary. Plus it would be dependent on how much speed you have and maneuverability you have. Plus the usage of energy it takes. So pretty much the Sparrow with the most speed would pretty much win (unless the race had given obstacles and speed boosts without modifications) Mods or variants of Sparrows would still be the same as the ones in the Tower on Earth, maybe the design would make it "unique" in someway or they sell ranging from Rare-Legendary.
